I do like Matt Damon and was glad to see that he was in something new....however, I was sorry he took this role. There were so many convoluted lies in this movie, one right after the other, that it was relentlessly disappointing. A few people walked out and I wished I was one of them. Hoping for something better to happen we stayed til the end but regretted it. There's not enough popcorn in the world to make up for this.

The movie contains a lot of quirky little moments that inspire giggles and one or two laugh-out-loud moments. The movie never really builds attachment to characters, and never really goes anywhere in the end. That said, it was good for a few laughs.

About a 1/4 way through the movie I caught my head doing that drifting off thing and then jerking back into attention. I did the Yawn thing too many times to count.
If you have insomnia I highly recommend this movie!!!!

It is more accurate to describe the character/plot development as thorough, intelligent, and detailed than as slow. This film highlights ironies of capitalism, our justice system, and human perceptions and behaviors and will interest two kinds of people: those who are critical of big-business capitalism and those who are fascinated by human behavior. Far more intelligent than most of the movies I’ve seen, and very funny, though not really in the sense of the term ‘comedy.’ Hands down a great movie.

I should have read the reviews before seeing the movie. The best parts were in the trailer. My wife and I were could not believe how bad it was. We got more laughs out of the pain we were going through watching the movie.
