This was a wonderful movie! I saw it twice on Memorial Day weekend. I cannot wait for it to come out on DVD. There was some violence and some fighting, but it was not gory and there wasn't much shown. There was blood, but nothing too ridiculous. There were lessons learned and taught throughout the movie. Lucy is, once again, the voice of truth, belief, and trust. The acting was very good by everyone. The movie was not completely true to the book, but I do not think the movie ruined the book. They did a great job turning the book into a movie. I don't know of very many books turned into movies that are 100% true to the book. There will always be differences between books and their movies, but this book-turned-movie is very good. I will recommend this to anyone and everyone! It is worth it!

This sequel did not measure up to the allegorical quality of the the first film. The drama with the animals was not really that connected to ideas as in the first film. Instead, they were treated as comic book characters. It was either a failure of imagination or an effect of budget cutting. In fact the movie was little better than a slightly warmed over old Robin Hood story which might appeal to the 8 year old crowd, but is hardly fit fare for "people of all ages." I was disappointed.

This was a very good effort on the second of the Chronicles of Narnia series. It is darker and more intense than the first, with lots of battle scenes. Keep that in mind for younger ages. It was a fun movie to watch with lots of good characters.

This movie continues the excellent work of the first Narnia film. The story never dragged and the themes of true belief, true bravery, and true leadership were not overdone in the screenplay.
(The kiss that doesn't happen is almost as good as the one that does.)
I haven't read the book, so I can't comment on the adaptation, but this was a good film. Recommend for over 10.

WOW! what a geat movie. The story line is fantasic and the music is great! My only thing is I cryed at the end of the movie when it was said that two of the main people would not be returning to Narnia. That's so sad, because the four of them made the move. My family and I attended the opening weekend showing of Prince Caspian and loved it! The special effects were excellent. You were caught up in the movie right from the beginning, and you didn't have to see the first movie to understand this one. Definitely good family friendly entertainment!

Although I'm a fan of the C.S. Lewis Narnia series, I felt that this movie was just o'kay. The plot seemed to move along at a very slow pace. Also, the war seen at the end seemed to go on forever. My husband and I took our daughter and five of her friends to see the movie and three of them were quite bored with the movie, one thought it was o'kay, and two liked it. If you're a Narnia fan, you should see it, but if not...let this one go.

This was a fantastic sequel to The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.... As much as I enjoyed the first, Prince Caspian has The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe beat. It is a wonderful film filled with adventure, love, confrontation, battle, comic relief, hope, fatih and more. All that a great story should be! My 5 year old loved it and my grown child (husband) couldn't stop talking about that cute little mouse, exuse me, heroic little mouse! Treat yourself to this adventure. It's a great one! You won't be dissapointed. You do not need to watch the first to enjoy this one, but you'll be left wanting to know more. For Narnia! And for Aslan! A+

The story was a good one. I never read the books as a child nor do I have any desire to read them. I've seen the first movie and now this sequel and have been thoroughly satisfied. The special effects in this installment were really awesome and everything about it transported you to another place and time easily without the feeling of "what the heck just happened?" The money was well spent and the movie made me crave for another installment...maybe Narnia...The Caspian Reign!!!

Although the story line was predictable throughout, the climaxes still brought a tear to my eye. The special effects rivaled or exceeded the first installment of the series. The acting may even be better than the first, as the performers have all matured. But some unexplained story lines left the viewers shaking their heads. Why does Aslan wait so long to get involved? All these Narnians die while he waits for an invitation to save them? The apparant telepathic communication between Aslan and Peter is also wierd, and unexplained. All in all, the movie is worth seeing for fans of the series, but those looking for consistency and satisfaction in the story line may be disappointed.

The cinematography and animation is superb! I highly recommend this movie to everyone, even if you don't have kids.This movie was very enjoyable. Awesome, Attention grabbing, and just plain entertaining! Even if you don't know the entire story or aren't following the books and previous movies you are sure to enjoy the excitement, continuous adventure and comical enticement of talking animals and trees among other things. Just as good as the first one or maybe even a little better. I went with the 11 year old daughter of a good friend ans she stayed on the each of her seat the entire time.

The second movie in the Chronicles of Narnia - "Prince Caspian". was absolutely delightful. This was an adventure filled and action packed film incorporating special effects similar to Lord of the Rings, but with content fit for the whole family. It is true that, C.S. Lewis stories are metaphorical for Christianity and the chronology in the Bible, but this movie should appeal to the secular crowd just as much. One interesting fact as well is that J.R.R. Tolkien author of Lord of the Rings series & C.S. Lewis author of the Narnia series were very close friends and taught together in England. This may account for some of the similarities between the books.

My 10-year old daughter really wanted to see this movie. She says it's better than the first one. I wasn't as familiar with this story as the first one, but it was very enjoyable. The action at times was intense. Those interested in the spiritual themes will not be disappointed. As we left the theater, we felt we could relate to the Pevensie children in that we had to leave the magic of the theater experience, just as they had to leave Narnia. Definitely recommend seeing it, in the theater if possible.

My family of all ages and I enjoyed this movie because the quality of script, acting, directing were all excellent. The telling of the story was prime; the directors did not stoop to superficially stimulate interest. The nature scenes were breath taking, with beautiful colors and lighting. The battle scenes showed the strategy and struggle of warfare, and how one can lose. Characters, costumes, message all very fine.

I wanted to love this movie like the first one, but didn't. The plot was all over the place and it was hard to follow a lot of the time. (Our family of 2 adults and 2 teens saw this together.)
Also- if you have children, you should know there is a lot of violence for a PG rating- although there is no 'blood shed'. I, personally, would not take a child to this movie- and our theatre was full of them. While Narnia is a fantastic book series, this movie falls short.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

This was just as wonderful as the first movie. The photography and graphics were AWESOME. The story and plot was very well written. I LOVED IT!

Several adult friends went to see the movie & all of us enjoyed it greatly. We all would recommend it to all. The general viewers in the theater were all responding to it. Well be taking my grandchildren to see it & am waiting for dvd.

Went to see this movie with my 5yr old twins, 12yr old daughter and their grandmother..we all loved it. I loved the first one...no less than an epic and there was no area of disappointment in this one. It was awesome. The plot, the graphics, acting..incredible. Everyone HAS to see this movie. One of the few true family movies out there...
