This movie was absolutely FANTASTIC!!! It's been a while since I read the books, but this movie had everything I remember. It had ongoing action from the start, with lots of humor. They seemed to keep this movie true to C.S. Lewis' book. This is the first movie that I have ever done a midnight showing for and I have to say that the 4 hour wait was well worth the time. This is absolutely the best movie that I have seen since Lord of the Rings!!! I highly recommend this movie to anyone, period.

I waited for this movie to come out for two years, and when it finally did, I was very impressed. The movie was exciting and humorous, with suspense around every corner. The only problem I found was that some events didn't happen in sequence to the book, or that certain things were added in that were not in the book. However, unlike the Harry Potter movies, this film team did a great job of creating elements that were different than the book. I loved the actors best of course! Overall, this was a great movie and I would definitely go and see it again.

'Prince Caspain' not only fullfilled my expectations, it surpased them. As a long standing fan of the books, one always wonders if the movie will do justice to the spirit of the story. While the movie did deviate from the story line, especially in the personality and qualities of some of the characters (namely Peter), it was still realistic and within the realm of possibilities. If one could step back from the original story and look at the characters with a fresh eye, then their development and choices in the movie not only become plausible, but very likely. Anyone who enjoys the world of Narnia and the reflection that it brings within ourselves will love 'Prince Caspian' for the masterpiece that it proves itself to be.

There is never a point in the movie where I thought I would fall asleep from bordom. It kept a good pace. As I am 25 and this movie is more for the young at heart. I really in enjoyed all 2 hour and 20 min. of the movie. Effects were awsome. This is a great movie for any age group. Also very funny in some parts.

After seeing the rather docile adaptation of the first book, I thought I had reasonable expectations for this movie. But this movie actually exceeded them.
Having just re-read the book last week, I could clearly see all the differences in this adaptation. Yet, I really enjoyed them! The movie was well-presented, clever, and had spectacular fighting scenes. The CG was beautiful and the script was good and witty.
Ben Barnes' performance as Caspian left much to be desired but that didn't detract too much from the rest of the movie. It was interesting how they made Susan's character a lot stronger and fiercer. In the book, Susan NEVER fought in any battles but in here, she fought in every single one. The romance between Susan and Caspian was unnecessary but entertaining enough.
As mentioned earlier, the plot was very creatively altered from the book. It's interesting to read the book before you watch the movie. Come on, it's only about 200 pages. :)
Overall, a great movie. I only marked it down because of Ben Barnes' performance.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This was an amazing movie. They took the special effects up a notch. In the first movie they would use angles to hide the fact that Aslan was a CG. This time Lucy put her hand right on Aslan's face and it was very convincing that it was real contact something very hard for CG artists.
During our viewing we had the oportunity to see the first 15 minutes twice because of the reel sticking and had to move to another showing. I loved this movie because the costumes and sets were very well crafted and the artists should be very pround of their product.
The acting is so much better. The actors increased experience made this movie so much better. Not only will this movie become part of my DVD collection it will be very difficult to wait that long to return and see it on the big screen.
If you have not seen it yet, GO SEE IT! If you have seen it then you know what I am talking about. I think it is even a better picture than Iron Man and That is saying something.

Seriously, this is the first movie I want to watch again. It was super good. There were some cheesy bits here and there, but there was good action scenes, pretty good humor (lots of sarcasm) and of course, the movie, like the whole Narnia series, delivers some pretty subtle but hard-hitting truths about life and reality

I thought that this movie was definately better than the first. I has a completely different feel. The first was much more light and fantastical while Prince Caspian is darker and much more of a war epic.
I actually enjoyed Ben Barnes as Prince Caspian because he was intense and thoughtful. He was slightly whiney which I had never pictured when I read the books originally. But I really thought the Inigo Montoya accent-a-like was rather amusing.
I believe the Caspians once again played their parts well. The one thing I didn't like though was how in many ways they changed their story lines so that they could accomadate for extra story that was put in.
I did thoroughly enjoy it, and liked the addition of much more humor especially in the form of Reepicheep the mouse and often in Edmund. It made the movie a little lighter. And I would recommend everyone to go see this movie.

I was thrilled from the beginning to the end and oh so sad when it did end. I give Narnia five stars. The kids are older but brought the characters back in stride for the new movie. I went to the midnight show and didn't regret having to get up for work two hours later. I thought about the movie all day and wish I could go see it again tonight. I can't WAIT till the DVD comes out. I'm already looking for part three.
You just couldn't help but fall in love with Edmund, he was so confident this time in who and what he was, which is "King Edmund". Caspian was alright, but I must admit I expected a little more spirit out of him more confidence. Overall he did a great job, they all did. I'm definately going to see it again.

Well I got back from a midnight showing here in columbus Oh, I think I may have been the only one dressed up for the film. Oh well, I guess people are starting to lose there inthusasium on dressing up for films.
Anyways the film was neat from the ruins of Cara Pravail to the night time battle seens. The outfits are very well desided and the film was well done. The actors and sceaeray where real neat. Expert the next one to be cool too, it should come out in 2010 I bleive.

Yet again Disney has shown they can not leave orignal story line alone. One would think with the millions made from the Potter books it had been proven a movie would closly follow its book. But as almost happened with the much beloved Princess Mononoke the copyright hold of Narnia picked that blank Disney check over staying true to what C.S. Lewis had envisioned many years ago. Yes when the Mononoke creator was approved by Disney offered a blank check well given a thick book of things that needed to be changed...Disney was amazed to have been told no and allowed to make no changes other then to the sound track. And as a result Disney spent very little promoting Mononoke and sent it to theaters under the lesser known Disney label of Miramax. So all in all I guess one can not be blamed for taking the check and running....

This movie was a really fun action packed movie. The special effects were incredible. The location was beautiful. It was fun to be transported into the land of Narnia once again.
It was fun to see the Pevensie children again, although they looked more than just one year older. Prince Caspian was poorly cast. He didn't come close to being the Caspian CS Lewis described, however, if you let that go, you will enjoy a fun and amusing adventure that will last 2 hours and 20 minutes. Well worth the price of a ticket!

I am a huge fan of the Narnia books, as well as the movie, well movies now.
I saw this movie on opening night at midnight, and even though i had school the next day, it was well worth getting only 3 hours of sleep.
It has action, adventure, humour, and even a little romance in the end.
I love Edmunds character in Prince Capsian. He has grown so much and is so loveable now.

The movie was enjoyable but a little on the long side over 2 hours 20 minutes. The movie is appropriate for all ages, and follows C. S. Lewis's writing for the most part. The scenery was nice, and the special effects were great. There was no gore or extreme blood scenes, and the battle scenes were not violent enough to scare children. Except for a few parts where the movie seemed to drag the movie progressed smoothly and I enjoyed it.

This movie followed the book incredibly well and the actors excellently portrayed their characters! It was filled with action and captivated my attention from the get-go. It also very well illustrated the theological points that I believe C.S. Lewis intended to prove. I absolutely loved this movie. We went to see on the midnight showing, and it was absolutely awesome. Their was great fight scenes and the acting was great. In addtion, Weta Workshop did an astounding job (yet again) with the graphics and with the garb, armour, etc that the characters wore.
The only downside to this movie is if one does not like movies to stray from the book---this one is VERY different than Prince Caspian the book.
However, Prince Caspian and the Voyage of the Dawn Treader are my two favorite Narnia books, and even though the movie strayed from Caspian, it was still outstanding. Loved it.
In addition to everything else, Prince Caspian again managed to convey a good moral theme, and one can see how Peter and Susan mature throughout the film.
Take your kids, they'll be running around pretending to save Narnia in no time.

The producers of this film definitely accomplished what is needed to turn a good book into a movie. Bottom line, you can't expect someone to take a book and make the movie just like it word for word or it would suck. In a book you have the advantage of a narrator giving you a "behind the scenes" look into the character's emotions where as in a movie the actors must portray the emotions of the character's themselves.
In this movie they changed the story line just enough to give it some added dynamics that gave it more of an epic feel, but they did not stray from the basic plot of what is to be accomplished.
Overall, I thought that it was very well done, especially in light of the fact that it is a kids book!:)

Awesome movie!!!!! I enjoyed Prince Caspian much more that the 1st Narnia movie. The, realism, emotional component, humor, action, ability to engage, cinematography, and epic feel, were all much greater.
It Narnia continues to soar to new heights it will be one of the greatest series of episodic movies of all time, rivaling Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, etc.

I agree with others that stated the movie is different than the book. Some things were left out, some things were added. It all made for a great movie, but I recommend reading all of the books in the Narnia series beforing seeing the movies. As a general rule for all book movies, read the book first! I would not recommend taking children under twelve to this movie due to the elevated violence in this story.

I have never read the books so I can't give you a comparison review but what I can say is that it was a Great movie, well worth seeing a couple of times, I am defintley going to see it again, the effects, the action was great the story line was good, I believe however, they could have done more with the story. Also, Ben Barnes (Prince Caspian), gave a very plain performance, not much conviction, it was almost like he was saying the lines and making some facial expressions, he has the makings of a good performer, just needs some work. Will I recommend this to a friend, Yes-Yes-Yes. Go see it, just don't expect it to be as good as the last.
