As I read over the reviews, it seems like people who hated it because they're fans of the book. I love the books, and it's true that Prince Caspian takes some liberties with the stories that didn't sit well with me at first. But the changes made for a better movie. Simply put, the movie got things moving a little quicker. The character development is a little more complex than it was in the books, but I think it's fairly realistic for teenagers-not perfect and stoic like the books, certainly, but not evil, either. I learned with Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter to treat books and movies as separate stories, and it's allowed me to enjoy both mediums. Admittedly, it was harder with Prince Caspian because it was a cornerstone of my childhood, but I think if you can let the movie stand as its own story, it holds true. I'm still not sure about all of the changes-Peter may have had trouble adjusting to being a schoolboy again, but I don't know that he would lose his faith once he was in Narnia. But, overall, I see why the filmmakers made the choices they did, and I respect that. I was very engaged throughout the movie, and thought the acting was better than the first movie-the kids are growing up, and I'm glad I'm able to see it. Ben Barnes was fine as Caspian, although not as much of a presence as I would have liked. And, Centaurs rock.

My daughters loved the first one and were so excited to see this one. It was a fantastic movie! From start to finish there wasn't a dull moment. It certainly didn't feel like a 2 1/2 hr movie. My 6yr old kept leaning over to me and saying how much she loved this movie. My 11yr old loved it too. I liked how the killing was not shown, it was always just off the screen, so that was good. Fantastic movie that I would highly recommend and would go see it again!

I took my 13 and 15 year old granddaughters to see this movie. We all thoroughly enjoyed it!! I think it was very well done and very exciting. Lots of great action. I would definitely recommend this to any parent, child or anyone at all!!

What was that? a complete disaster! the reviews looked great and i want to change that, because i went to see a movie that is not even worth calling a movie. Great movie! Lots of action and very realistic. Great story well told. The movie is a bit long at over 2 hours. The little ones will find it too slow in some spots. The battle scenes are a bit graphic for them too. Best to leave them home.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed going to this film together. It was action packed and thrilling without all the "normal" stuff that Hollywood thinks it has to have to draw crowds. I appreciated the special effects, the characters, the acting, the plot, theme. The scenery was spectacular. I would highly recommend this film to be seen in a theatre, however, we will also be purchasing it as a home movie to watch over and over. Thank you Disney for giving us a delightful film for the summer!

This movie was easily one of my favorite movies. The special effects were stupendous, the acting amazing, and the storyline was pretty darn close to the book. Mind you, I've probably read that book at least 7 times, so I know it like the back of my hand. Georgie Henley, Skander Keynes, William Moseley, Anna Popplewell returned and did an amazing job, once again. And Ben Barnes came and mixed with the rest of the cast marvelously. The locations were stunning, the soundtrack was amazing, the entire movie was astounding!!!! If it doesn't get nominated for an Academy Award for at least SOMETHING, I'm going to ask those Academy people, kindly, to please get their eyes and ears checked, and then re-evaluate the movie. It is THAT GOOD!!!!! This movie is one of the best I've seen in a long time. One more thing before I finish. This is to the folks out there who think this movie is not for children........IT ISN'T REAL!!!!! Please, don't deprive your children of this wonderful movie. Now, granted, it is not appropriate for small children, what with the intense battle sequences. However, I would say it is perfectly fine for older kids. Anyway.......THAT MOVIE IS AMAZING!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!

We don't go to many movies because of content and what we consider inappropriate themes. But we thoroughly enjoyed this movie from start to finish. Biblical themes are scattered throughout the movie and provide great opportunities for family discussion. For those with younger children, you may feel the need to discuss the amount of war scenes but I don't believe it was inappropriate or over the top. Looking forward to the next one. Prince Caspian certainly didn't have the charm and innocence of the first film, with the majority of the movie featuring epic battle scenes, but it stayed to the story line. For those Lord of the Rngs fans out there, this film will do well. For someone looking to enjoy a sweet children's story, you may want to wait until the next book in the series is made into a movie.

I thought this movie was excellent as far as the graphics and character melding goes. the animals are always a good view and the Badger did a great job. My cudos to the animal trainer :-) (just joking). I did miss the main charcater the majestic lion Aslan wish he had been there sooner and the kids were really good.. To the Anonamus reveiwer about it not being for children, BALONEY !!!!! it is as much for children as Harry Potter or any of the other fantasy movies. Just remember IT IS A MOVIE for enjoyment not real. Understand NOT REAL. so get a life and take your children out from under the glass you are hiding them in and let them experince real life. Also dont be afraid to have a real name. NO one cares about anonamus.

As a child who grew up reading the Chronicles of Narnia and an adult who is still reading them, I must say that I underestimated this movie. It is a powerful rendition of the story, and the animation/special effects are magnaminous. I took my children (ages 4 and 6) to see it, and they loved it. My six year old particularly enjoyed it. Of course, they are not easily scared. I do agree with former reviewers that there is a great deal of violence - though not much gore. That might be an issue for some young children, but the message is so strong that it is definitely worth considering!

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian is a poor follow-up to the first film. It has all the action, but the audience just doesn't connect with the characters. In short, the film has a weak script which needed to be condensed somewhat, this should have been about 30 minutes shorter and Ben Barnes was not the actor to play Prince Caspian, he's just not strong enough to carry a full film. So a thumbs down to this one.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
