This was a fantastic movie. But I would not allow kids under 10 to see it. It is probably the most violent movie Disney has ever produced. Many, many people, and animals are killed. Young children will be disturbed by this film.

It was superbly done, well acted, and the Narnian creatures looked even better than they did in the first movie. The story is incredible, so they have a lot of good material to work with. Our entire family really enjoyed it. They took a lot more liberties with the story line in this movie than they did with the first one, mainly to make it more linear, instead of the huge flashback of the dwarf's narrative to the kids at Cair Paravel.

Even if you already loved the first movie, this one will still be a surprise. It was awesome. Special effects were great, scenery was dazzling, everyone's acting was superb. The only downside to the film is its length: nearly two and half hours. I took one small child (aged 6) with me, and while the content was okay for her age [not there are some battle scenes in which characters die, but on the whole not very graphic], she had a hard time sitting through the whole thing. THE STAR of this film is Caspian, who steals every scene that he is in- not really sure why the directors choose to have the Talmarines speak with Italian accents (yes, I know many of the actors were italian). The single thing I appreciated most about this movie is that, with a few exceptions (i.e. a hint of romance between Caspian and Susan), it didn't deviate or water down the story as presented in Lewis' text. I'm glad to see that the Dawn Treader is next, though note that the annoying boy you see as the start of the film approaching Susan is the one playing Eustace in that, which might make CON-DT unbearable.

All in all Prince Caspian captures the essence of the C.S. Lewis novel. While darker than the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, it is the test of belief for all the principal characters. Each character must come to trust in the presence of the Lion or despair and turn toward evil. There are a couple of slow spots, but the slow spots mirror the novel. The battle scenes are fascinating and the strength of faith to overcome all is magnificently portrayed when Lucy and Aslan face down the Army on the Bridge. With one mighty roar, Aslan wins the day. All in all a well done movie.

Although it did not follow the book as written it is still very good. It kept all of the themes that C.S. Lewis wrote about in his books. It's a wonderful family movie and shows that faith based moves are blockbusters. The animation and action rival any movie out this summer including Ironman.

I went with BF and the movie was great!
But, my BF who did not see the 2st Narnia was a little confused in what the story line was.
I personally think that the 2 are separate movies and you may be able to understand it, but definitely MUST see the 1st movie to get a better understanding.

Prince Caspian - He was OK as an actor, but he had a Spanish accent - which I kind of felt they maybe should have used a different character. Perhaps a star with a European accent so that it would flow better with the movie.

I loved the books, but the first movie was only a C+/B- in my book...not all that special. I was very pleasantly surprised to see that the second movie was a bit step forward...even though it was helmed by the same director. It's much deeper and more textured the second time around. The battle scenes are pretty strong...not as dark at the LOTR movies, but somewhat similar. There are moments where the performances of the kids are just slightly wooden. But the sets are beautiful and the feel of the whole thing is classy. The music is good, not amazing...although I did enjoy the closing song by Regina Spektor. Lucy is still cute as a button, if slightly older. Susan has grown into a somewhat more voluptuous girl with an interest in the new prince. Peter is handsome and the most-likely-to-be-wooden actor, while Edmund turned out to a quite strong in this one. Ben Barnes is solid as Price Caspian. I'm still not quite sold on the Aslan CG figure (it's very complex and must be hard to master), but Reepicheep the mouse is very cute and has the spirit of the original story well in hand. I must say...if you're a grown-up with a need for dark, edgy movies, this is not for you. But if you enjoy a good story and can open your heart to receive it, this movie is quite the delight.

An enjoyable movie for my 9 year old, but I had to get up and take a couple of breaks. The action scenes and special effects were great. Overall a good movie, but seriously could have been about a half an hour shorter. The boys I took absolutely loved it, acting out the scenes from the movie for an entire day after seeing it.

Why does Hollywood have to change movies so much?? I wish they could have stopped fighting a little so I could have enjoyed it. Virtues of certain characters, Peter in particular were changed. He loses hope in Aslan!!!!! Too bad. We have read and listened to the books several times. I was more enteretained and excitied for Narnia when Lynn Redgrave read it on CD. I took my 11 year old her stomach got sick at the battle scenes. The part with the hag and the werewolf was totally changed and was very evil. Peter WAS NOT tempted by the lure of black magic in the book. OF COURSE NOT, he was Peter the Magnificent. Not a hopeless coward-like boy!!!!! I will not be taking my younger kids. We will enjoy C.S. Lewis' real Narnia through his books!!

I found "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" to be a wonderful movie overall. I have read the book and always wish the entire book could be included in the movie, but because of time constrains some things have to be left out. Even so, this movie comes close to being perfect. This is a must see movie for both children and adults and one of the first few this year to be worth your time. See the movie and then read the series. I can't wait for the last installment of the three!

This movie was brilliant, from begining to end. It out did the last movie the way a sequel should. The story itself was captivating and truly shows the characters progression. The acting was beautiful and the CG work some of the best around. The graphics in this movie are nothing short of stunning, the movie looks realer than real. Take the kids, grandma, your cousin, any one. This movie is amazing!

This movie totally outshines the first Chronicles of Narnia. I was at the edge of my seat the entire time for the action. Ben Barnes (Stardust), a relative unknown, does a wonderful job as Prince Caspian, and the Pevensey brood once again rose to the occasion. I would have wished for a different ending, but then I am a romantic. I can't wait for this to appear on DVD as it is a "must have" for my library. We took 9 kids - ranging in ages 3-11 - and they LOVED it! I don't particularly enjoy SciFi/Fantasy movies myself, but one again, Chronicles had me glued!

What's not to love about this film? The Pevensies are back in Narnia, the rightful heir to the throne is threatened and that's just in the first 20 minutes! From the opening sequence to the stellar duel between Peter and Miraz, to the ensuing battle between the Narnians and the Telmarines, this movie did not lack for action. The script was beautiful, the scenery was breathtaking and the CG was top-notch. If you missed the first one, it doesn't matter. The only continuation factor are the children and Aslan, the lion(who is much bigger in this film). Safe for kids, great for families. A must-see!

This movie was a noble sequel to the original. I have not read the books but to me the story of the movie was fantastic. The acting is wonderful and the action scenes exciting. If you have seen the first Narnia then please make time to enjoy the second.

Prince Caspian was just as good as the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. My children asked to go see it on the first night, which they have never done before with any movie. They wanted to go back with friends to see it again the very next day. The time goes so quickly that it doesn't seem like a 2 hour 20 min movie. It's got it all.

Beautiful movie, very engaging. It would have benefited had they left in some of the details that were cut from the book, even if that would have added another 10 to 20 minutes of run time.
Overall, an excellent film. The actors playing the Pevensie children are delightful. This movie is a Must-See!
Oh...and be sure to read the Narnia books.
