This movie was certainly action-packed and entertaining. Having seen been extremely impressed with the first movie I did have some high expectations....and I'd say they were met. Though there are a few references to objects and events from the first movie, you don't necessarily need to have seen the first movie or even read the books to understand the plot line here. For those with younger children, this movie is certainly more intense that the first. There are a lot of battle scenes and a few more "scary" characters. But, overall, I'd certainly recommend it to others! Enjoy!

This movie was entertaining, and I know that the story all have a religious undertone but they pushed it bit far in my opinion. The movie was hyped up a bit too much for what it really turned to be. it seemed too long, I didn't like the mouse that fights with the Narnian's it was a total Sherk rip off of the Puss in Boots, cute yes, but cheap. The Prince of Capian's acting wasn't the best and there were a lot of shots, camera angles which were down right bad and the same goes for the dialog. All these things prevented it from being a great movie. I recommend to see this movie when it comes out on video for your leisure entertainment, for a great movie experience...go else where.

Went to the movie with my wife and two younger children (10 and 7). It was a great family movie that held the kids attention and provided ample opportunity (after the movie) to discuss the important themes and messages contained within the story. We found it to be an entertaining afternoon that continues to pay dividends more and more as we relate the themes to their spiritual principals. Whatever your religious beliefs may be, this is a great movie that I highly recommend. Can't wait for the next one to come out!

I was looking forward to seeing this movie and was not dissapointed. As a Chronicles of Narnia fan, I was a bit dissapointed as to how the movie strayed from the book... or events went out of order (ie. when Caspian blew Susan's horn) but loved it nonetheless. I understand why certain changes/additions/removals took place to make the movie more drama packed. I still recomend everyone to check out this movie. To those who love the books, no it is not identical but still worthy of the time and money to see it. To those who have not read the series (or this book), it's a great movie to see. It's darker than the first (as it is in the books) but hope is the underlying theme of it all. A great message, great special effects... still a moving presentation. A job well done. I plan on seeing it again and purchasing it on DVD when it is released.

Maybe I am too close to the book, but the divergences from C.S.Lewis' vision solely to make a few more "exciting" battle scenes was a little disappointing. Not that the movie is not enjoyable; far from it. But anyone who is expecting Lucy, Susan, and Aslan's parade through Narnia to awaken the old spirits of the trees and the river aren't going to be happy about a single roar from Aslan doing the trick. The addition of the attempt to raise the White Witch is probably the only divergence that I think worthwhile. Aside from all that, the movie was very fast paced and did not seem to be almost 2 and a half hours long as the viewer enjoyed the routing of the Telmarines and the return of Old Narnia. And of course, Georgie Henley (with top billing no less) again stole the show as Lucy as the most enjoyable character on the screen (as it should be). I will close that while the movie was very enjoyable and worth the watch, it is rather disappointing as the sequel to LWW. Unlike most of the critics, I like LWW better.

I am hearing impaired and enjoyed the movie much more seeing it with rear display closed captioning. My wife has excellent hearing and she struggled with the dialogue. I know because she kept trying to watch on my display!

Having read the book I was quite curious as to how they would make this movie exciting - and I am pleased to report that they definitely did succeed in making it exciting. The cinematography was exceptional and the personal growth in the Kings & Queens of Narnia was palpable. What a great film for the entire family to go and see together - and then to discuss around a family dinner table!!! BRAVO!!!

This was an excellent movie for almost all. Children under 8 might be scared during some parts, and the political plot line might be hard for them to follow. My three children (under the age of 11) enjoyed it. The effects were outstanding!

Adnrew Adamson delivered a great adaptation of C.S. Lewis' Prince Caspian. My favorite line is from Aslan: "Nothing ever happens the same way twice." Our family loved the film including our six year old son. Enjoy!

This was a great movie ! A must for everyone with an imaginative mind to see. The characters created were all so fabulously done with such great detail. I've read all the books and so far the movies bring the books to life . I'll reread the books now and they will mean even more due to the images of the movie in my mind.The only slightly disappointing thing for me was we waited so long to see Aslan but when we did he was the King in all ways. I adore him. Long live the Chronicles of Narnia!!!!!

Compared to the books, the movie doesn't even compare. However, as a movie alone, it was pretty good. I just felt it lacked a bit of heart...and it's not the actor's fault; it was just the script. Also, after seeing Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, it felt like I'd seen these battle scenes somewhere else before. The Narnia books were written before those, but the movies have the misfortune of coming after those big epic series, so it does cause a bit of a problem. Having said that, I really did like the movie...I just have high expectations as a C.S. Lewis fan!

The movie was just solid. It followed pretty much the same line of the first one, and didn't really deviate much. Just replace the ice queen and her minions of the first, with a general/king and his army for the second. That will give you a pretty good indication of how the movie is. The first one was amazing, but having it repeated again was just a letdown. I would still recommend it, but there are a few I'd recommend over it.

Prince Capsian seem more grown up to me and I thought that added more to the Narnia series since people have grown up since the first one. The one thing I was worried about was if they would be able to age the movie to match the actors now that they weren't children as they were in the first one. This was an excellent movie and I have seen it twice since its release on Friday. :D
The only negative I would say is that I wish they would have explained the background of Prince Capsian and his people a little more.

Prince Caspian is a poignant story of the loss of innocence. It's an excellent film - darker and a little more grown up than the first. The actors have great chemistry with one another, and the animal heros are lovable and courageous. The camaraderie that develops among the Narnians and the humans is heart-warming; if only we could all feel that strongly and passionately about our fellow man. What has stuck with me from the film is that any 'grown up' can identify with Susan and Peter as they make the transition from children to adults.

If you have read the Chronicals of Narnia books, or even just Prince Caspian, you may be disappointed in the movie. It is not very close to the book at all, and can be confusing if you haven't read it. However, if you are looking for an action advententure movie for the family, with no expectations, this is the movie for you.

I didn’t walk into the movie with my 9 and 5 year old with a lot of expectations for this movie. I pretty much figured there would be a lot of action but not a lot of content. I got what I expected…but I didn’t go for me, I went for my kids. They really enjoyed the movie as a whole. My 9 year old boy was glued to the screen the entire time. My 5 year old daughter was interested when she saw the CGI animals and also enjoyed Susan and Lucy’s costumes. I was concerned for my 5 year old due to the violence I had heard about in other reviews, but most of it was implied violence that went over her head. My 9 year old understood what was happening, though; and was captivated by the action. I have to say that the movie as a whole is good as long as the viewer understands that it is more geared toward children in the audience rather than finding a way to engage the adult audience – as most Disney films have had no problem doing in the past. I was personally disappointed, but my kids loved it – and that was what mattered most anyway!

I tried to think of how I really feel based on just the film, not the fact that the screenplay almost 100% re-wrote the book as the majority of the action in the film didn't even happen in the original story. Yes, I am a purist-LOVED THE BOOK! But on it's own, Prince Caspian was ok. I didn't think the creatures were created as well as in Wardrobe, Aslan did not give the feeling of awe like he did In Wardrobe, and the plot tended to feel a bit rushed, and then slow. However, I cannot attribute any of my "fenced" feelings about this film towards the cast. Considering what they were given, those kids did a great job in their roles again and it is because of this that I would grade this film with a B/B- and would reccomend it to others, with the knowledge that the book is infinitely superior and you would be missing out if you did not also read it. It is a short book and well written and could have been used better as a template for this film.

This movie was absolutely fantastic! I loved the first one and this one was just as good and even a little better! It was like Lord of The Rings for kids, which was a great touch and I really liked the way it was put together. It was very enjoyable with excellent battle scenes and I'd recommend it for anyone to see.

An emmensly enjoyable film; I would love to see it again. The film didn't feel long at all and with the cast from the first movie back, you are able to jump right back into the story. The spiritual references are not quite as blantant as the first movie but still there and overall a very uplifting and encouraging 2+ hours.

The book was more exciting than the movie. The actors really didn't have many speaking lines and the movie was incredibly slow. However, my 7-year old liked the movie.

My children ages 17, 12, 10 and I attended this movie on opening night. This was an excellent story. The special effects were awesome, the characters endearing. It had a great mixture of drama, comedy, and action. A few of the battle scenes were probably a little too violent for small children, but my children loved it and could relate to the characters.The theme of the movie came across very well. Proving how love,loyalty, kindness, and faith can go a long way...even when things seem overwhelming, you still can overcome difficulties and succeed. This is a family friendly film. In the words of my children-"IT WAS AWESOME!!!!"

This movie was AWESOME!!! I true must see for anyone who loves fantasy/sci-fi movies.
Good story and you don't have to have seen the first one in order to follow the storyline. Like a previous reviewer wrote you can follow the story without even reading the book!

I was very unsure when going to see this movie, as I was disappointed with the first one due to poor acting, script, and effects. However, this movie has made remarkable corrections, with great acting, story, and above all unbelieveable graphics. The script was good and not as childish as "The Lion, the witch and the wardrobe". Above all this movie will have you intrigued and gripping onto your seat. It is extremely entertaining and exciting. The battle scenes were very cleverly orchestrated also.

I took my 7 year old daughter to see the movie and we loved it. Although the movie has a happy ending, there were several times that I thought my daughter might want to leave due to the intensity and violence. Overall, Prince Caspian was very engaging and I would recommend it for children over the age of 6 or at least those who tend not to have nightmares.
