Certainly NOT the the same caliper as the first move. While it had it's moments where I was totally into it, other times I just had to roll my eyes and say "you've gotta be kidding me!" A bunch of my friends all went the first night, and we all groaned at the ridiculous moments. I would say wait till it comes out on video. It's a good movie to get some reactions from your friends.

I love the Chronicles of Narnia, and Prince Caspian was by far the greatest movie I have ever seen. It is even better than the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe! It was so worth the wait to see! I loved the characters (especially Caspian), and how amazing it looked, and the storyline was totally awesome and catching (even though it switched events around from the book, it was so much better than the book)! I was hooked to it through the whole thing! I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone! It is my absolute #1 favorite!!

My six year old was a little frightened, although we had slowly read the whole book with her and helped her to understand the story before going into the movie. My eight year old (also read the story with us) did great and didn't get frightened at all. It made me flinch in certain moments. Brutal story, added violence that was not in the book, keep that in mind. Acting was great (especially the animal voices like Eddie Izzard). Gripping dialogue with hard lessons of war, much like those our country has had to experience first-hand. Faith component was very strong and eloquently put forth for all to learn. Overall, terrific but leave the little ones at home.

I could not find a flaw in this movie. The effects were breathtaking as well as the great acting! There was also some really inspiring symbolism and quotes. The cinematography was stunning. Watching the film was so intense and enjoyable. I've already seen it twice and it's only been out for three days!

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the movie. Lots of heart and action. Wouldn't take really little kids to see this because of the battle scenes. 10+ would be a better age group.

WOW sums it up...the only thing better is to go see the movie! If you liked the first you'll love Narnia, Prince Caspian. The movie will hold you attention the hold way through to the end. My husband and I went to watch this movie on our "date" and loved it! It is not for the younger crowd but kids about age 9 and up. The special effects and battle scenes great. A nice sequel and well worth the cost of the movie tickets.

I've been a huge fan of Narnia since I was a small child, so the making of the movies is extremely exciting for me. And Prince Caspian did not disappoint. It is exciting and adventurous, not to mention often quite humorous. It grips you and forces you to fall in love with the characters. For movie lovers of any age, it is a must.
For lovers of the book, I will say this: some serious dramatic license is taken in the movie. Some of Prince Caspian's history is left out, but only the unessential. And that is understandable because of the differences between movies and books. Many parts of the book are embellished in the film and some are added from scratch. But do not despair. In no way did I think the book was mutilated by the movie.
Susan is developed far more as a character in the movie, something which even die-hard fans may admit was lacking in the book. Peter is a far more intriguing and dynamic character. The added wit of the movie compliments that used in the book. There are a few minor pieces which I would change to be more like the book, or simply because they were unnecessary, but these do not interfere too much with the success of the movie. All in all, though the writers did not stay entirely true to the storyline, they stayed true to the tone.
The most important thing for book fans when viewing this movie is to separate it from their memory of the book. It is an extremely entertaining movie as long as one is not expecting a word-for-word translation.
Overall, Prince Caspian was stunning.

With all the buildup around the new Narnia movie, my family was very excited about seeing it. Overall, we were very happy with the movie. We're big on action/adventure pics and there was plenty of both in this movie. The scenery was absolutely beautiful and the fantasy aspects were well done. A minor point, but there were a couple of occasions when it was difficult to understand what some of the main characters were actually saying. Even so, we would definitely recommend it to our friends and family.

This was, by far, the best movie we've seen in a very long time. The brilliance of CS Lewis shone thru from the beginning up to the very end of the story. It was a movie which had the viewer's undivided attention right from the start. A good movie for many children. Tho, I'd sit down and discuss it w/smaller children. In particular, explain to them the symbolisms which are peppered throughout the show. I'd strongly recommend this movie w/very few reservations.

I would reccomend this film I know the books and the movies are true to the story. I would say that make sure you get there early enough. I bought my tickets here on movie tickets.com and got there when movie started and there were no seats had to sit on the floor with my son . I guess I wanted to see it bad enough to be uncomfortable.

I have not read the book completely so I cannot compare the two. I did find the movie very enjoyable. The screenwriting could have been better. I found myself comparing it to Lord of the Rings; not intentionally of course. It does not compare. LOTR is far better. But this one is good and I would recommend to anyone. My only gripe is that the screen writing could have been better. It just didn't flow as well as I would've liked it to. The movie could've been a little longer. I can't wait for the DVD to see the deleted scenes. Maybe that would make a difference. All in all, a good experience. I would see it again.

This movie is GREAT! It has A LOT of action, drama, and suspense. This is a movie that I want to see again! I like it better than the first one. You HAVE to go see it, you WON'T waste a penny.

I loved the new Narnia movie. I am a huge fan of the books and have been waiiting for three years on the edge of my seat for this sequel to be released. It did not follow the book quite as closely as the first, but given the nature of this book, I think that they did a pretty good job. I do wish that Aslan had of been in the movie more, but He was none the less AMAZING as before. The message from the book was also retained in the movie, even though the screenplay was altered. I loved that fact. I will definately see this one again!
