The second of the Narnia Chronicles is much more action packed than the first. It's geared more towards the tweens and teens than the younger generation. You don't see Aslan quite as much and you see a lack of faith on Peter's part. Prince Caspian has an incredibly fake Spanish accent but then we can forgive that since he's so handsome. This movie was entertaining but I'm not going to rush out to buy it when it's released on DVD.

My husband and I finally were able to get out without the children and came to see the movie after a hard days work. My sister had taken my daughter to see it hours before we did and said it was great. The makeup,scenery and cinematography was wonderul and it was nice to see the same actors again. It kept you watching, great irony between good and evil. You didn't get to see Aslan that much in this one and then half the time they move Lucy out the way. She really didn't have an importance in this movie besides being the little sister. Overall, I am going to see it again to bring my son, we saw the first one and he wants to see this one. It is worth seeing again and my husband actually liked it, he is picky when it comes to watching movies, so that was a plus, too.

Let's see where should I begin...I went and saw this on a sunday mornind instead of going to church. I guess I was punished for not making church! I'm not going to bash the movie, it is what it is. Not as good as the first one and very long. Interesting story line and the characters are all still very good, but I couldn't ever really get into it. It was entertaining. My ten year old daughter was upset during the battle scene because it looked like innocent horses were being harmed,other than that she really loved the movie and looks forward to the next one. The make up and costume design were great.

I read the book a week before we went to see the movie and was glad I did. It did help with the ability to understand the story line as somethings were changed, a lot was added and I was anxious to see how they could possibly make this book a movie. I see now. A long drawn out "war" that seemed unending. I also read an article in World magazine where the directors were interviewed explaining their decisions to add a lot of things to "enhance" the plot line. They're explanation of having Peter have this inner struggle was never quite explained in the movie the way they hoped it would be conveyed. One would never know their reasoning for adding all this if they hadn't read this particular article. I'd have to say the movie was just okay and a bit drawn out. Unlike the first one, which is always the best, we will purchase it when it comes out on DVD (I'm sure just in time for Christmas sales) but we won't be as eager to watch it again and again as is the case with the first one. I know many people are anxious to see this sequel as we were, but we were honestly disappointed. As endearing as the first one was, it was tremendously big shoes to fill that didn't quite make it.

We went to see this movie with much anticipation. We took my four year old great neice, and while she was very good and sat still throughout the movie, I think it's a bit much for a child under about eight years old. Loved it - there were a lot of fight scenes but they didn't show any of the blood and guts stuff. I don't think it is necessary to show blood flying around and heads cut off to enjoy a good fight scene so that was excellent. Good story line and excellent acting. It was fun to see the kids again - especially Edward who was such a brat in the first movie.

I have been patiently awaiting the release of Prince Caspian. I grew up on the stories, and loved the first film. I went to see this Saturday night, and loved it so much that I will probably go see it again! The special effects and the battle scenes were magnificent!! Some news critics were saying that it may be "too dark" for kids, but I disagree. If you'll let your child see Spiderman or Lord of the Rings, they can definitely see Prince Caspian.

I loved the first one, and this one was much less enjoyable. The story was kind of weak, there was no real point to having the Lion, Aslan in the movie, and at times it seemed like it was dragging and over dramatic. It's not a bad movie by any means and if you enjoyed the first one, you will probably like the second enough. Just don't go with high expectations and you'll be ok. Or if you're saving your money wait for it on Netflix!

I went to this film tonight with my 17 year old son. He loved it - I loved it. I read these books when I was a kid. He read these books when he was "a kid". We were both excited when we heard the series was being made, and really enjoyed "the Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe". Sometimes, sequels don't measure up.... but not Prince Caspian! This movie delivers in every area you could desire! The characters of the four children "the Sons of Adam & Daughters of Eve" are still the same. Yet, at the same time, they are struggling - it's hard going back to "reality" after being a king or queen, and then once back in Narnia, they are teenagers, not "heroes of legend". Edmund has really grown, and now Peter is struggling to define himself as a man. Susan is becoming a young woman. Lucy is so much taller, but still has that sweet, innate wisdom. It's wonderful the way the screenwriters used humor to illustrate several important issues. And they brought out C.S. Lewis' Christian values without hitting you over the head with them. Some of the battles scenes might be quite intense for some younger children. Overall, it was a fantastic, amazing film. Brilliant, as they say in the UK.

I saw this picture on opening day, hoping that it would be, at a minimum, good, and luckily I wasn't disappointed. It WAS good, just not great, earning a solid 'B' from me. While there were a few big differences from the book, for the most part, they helped the movie's story move along. However, there were two differences that, to me, prevented the movie from earning an 'A.' The first was the almost complete lack of interaction between the Pensevies (sic?) and the Narnian animals that were not badgers. And the second was a perception of mine that the characters in the book were much more aware of how badly they screwed things up following their own agendas rather than finding out what Aslan's agenda was. Other then these two relatively minor quibbles, I quite enjoyed it, and believe I will be going again. Then again, I kind of have too now, after having bought two movies with free Narnia Movie Tickets attached.

Once again I was drawn into the magical land of Narnia and once again I was sad to leave. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, following the journey of Susan, Peter, Edmund, and dear Lucy over 1300 years after their last visit. If you loved the first movie, you'll love this one as well!

This was a movie for the whole family ...7 years old and older. The story was told so vividly and pointedly....helps God's Word come alive in an amazing way. A must see for everyone.

Very good movie...I would recommend it to everyone. I took my 5, 10 and 12 yr. old sto see it and they all loved it. They came home and watched the first one again and cannot wait to have the second on DVD when it comes out!! There was no blood shed and the values are very good for the children to see! I would see it again in a heartbeat...Great movie.

what a great movie! Very intense, and kept your attention throughout the whole thing. If you havent read the books or saw the previous movie you would probably be lost, but you should watch the first one then go see it! Its amazing!

This movie is for everyone! My husband and I, our daughter(12) and her two girlfriends were glued to our seats. This is an epic adventure story with beautiful cinamatography best seen on a large screen, entertaining characters, good vs. evil theme, and terrific but not gory battle scenes (mainly sword fighting). My husband and daughter have read all the books in the series and know them well. Her girlfriends and I have only read one. All of us enjoyed the film and could follow the story easily. For purists, according to my daughter, the movie does not include the voyage of the Dawn Rider. However, she still thought the movie was well conceived and a great action-filled adventure, as did everyone in our group. We give it our highest recommendation.
