I saw the first Narnia movie, "The Witch and the Wardrobe" so I could do some comparison. This movie based on the C.S. Lewis book was better than the first! The storyline was similiar to the first with the elements of good and evil present. The characters had to make choices at certain parts which affected the rest of the story.Several characters transform from non-belief in God to having the faith needed to survive/continue in the journey. These transformations are only noticed by the viewers who are looking for it. Lewis has the Christian undertone in the story as usual. Aslund is the symbol of God. He intervenes at the appropriate time when needed. Costumes were well presented and characters performance on par. I would recommend the movie to all!

My wife and I took our two boys (ages 4 yrs. & 3 yrs. old) yesterday and it was magnificent. The critics are loopy - the battle scenes were done tastefully and yet graphically. They were not bloody and gory. The story itself was fast-paced and well-written. The cinematography was pure excellence! I desire and pray that more of the Narnian books will be brought to the big screen. My family will see them all!

This was a good, but not great sequel to "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe". The animation was, again, outstanding, as well as the special effects. The story flowed well, but a bit dark. There was gratuitous violence/fighting that didn't add to the movie, but wasn't too distracting. The ending had its surprise, which made it worth sitting through all 2hrs and 20 minutes.

My children and I loved this movie. It was very entertaning. Usually we take restroom breaks in the middle of a movie but this movie had us glued to the seat. The same children in the first Narnia came back and joined with Prince Caspian to get Narnia back. It was really awesome! We will be buying this movie as soon as it comes out on DVD.

I will admit that the movie was action packed and very fun to watch. But, there was a lot of background and story missing from the book. Also I did not care for the possible romance of Prince Caspian and Susan. To me that book was about how as people get older they find it harder to believe - even Lucy had some trouble. So why not actually use more of that in the story?

I am a huge fan of the chronical of narnia series, I have read it several times over as a child. I really enjoyed the first film. However, this second film I feel is over rated. It seems like the director was trying to make the film okay for five year olds to watch without making parents upset instead of sticking to the story. They were trying to hard to please everyone and forgot that this is supposed to be a dark film about the takeover of Narnia. If you are a young adult/teenage you will find this movie lame and trying to be too PG.

i absolutely loved this movie. was eagerly awaiting the release and was not disappointed. having read the books, it was wonderful and amazing to see it brought to life. the acting was superb, the affects were great. the movie drew me in. i wanted to be in narnia, i wanted to be experiencing what the characters were experiencing. the battle scenes were great. i highly highly recommend this movie to others. you will definitly get your money worth. i will probably go and see this again in the theater.

My group consisted of kids from age 8 to 12 plus adults...they all loved it and I would highly recommend it. Might be too intense for some 8 and 9 year olds with the fight scenes but there is NO gore. Liked it better than the first one and look forward to series overall!

This movie was phenomenal. I took my son and thought I could "sit through it". I couldn't have been more wrong. I was engrossed in the movie and at one point found myself shout out "GET HIM!" The first Narnia film seemed...well, dull. It was just plain wrong on how slow it was.
THIS ONE on the other hand was EPIC! The kids have aged a bit and at least three of the four will be stunning when they grow up. They have really come into their own as actors and it shows with their quiet confidence - especially the girls.
The effects were awesome, it was true to the story, and the pace was kept at a consistent high throughout the whole film. Even the "comic relief" wasn't really comic relief (thank God). He was a bit funny just because he was small but even that couldn't dampen his warrior spirit!!!

I took two 10 year old boys to see this movie and they loved it. I enjoyed the story as well. It was perfect in length and it didn't seem rushed. I wouldn't say it was better than the first movie but equal to it. My suggestion, leave children under 3 at home with a sitter. To many young children in the theater and they did not find it as entertaining as the rest of us.

I thought that Prince Caspian was a very well done movie but could have done without the cheezy love story and arguments between Prince Caspian and Peter. Neither of these things occured in the book. Very exciting! Not one slow minute in the movie. Characters are beautiful. Funny at times. Nail-biting at other times. You get very emotionally attached to the characters. Very well done. My two girls ages 8 and 14 loved it. We left the theater with our hearts still pounding from all the intensity. I'm really looking forward to the third one in 2010!

This was a well crafted sequel to the first Narnia film. I liked the fact that there was more character development with the main characters. It was fast paced and entertaining. My only negative comment is that for someone who has not read the books or seen the first film they may have trouble follwing some parts of the story. To all Narnia Fans, This 2nd in the Disney Narnia Series was just as good, if not better than the first! Much more action and the characters have taken on more adult qualities.....really takes you there! My kids ages 12 and 5 loved it!

I relly enjoyed this movie. The acting, the CGI and the story line were all quite good. Of course, when basing it on C. S. Lewis, where can you go wrong unless you completely mess it up?
As stated by other reviewers, there are some very intense battle scenes. No 'blood and guts', but quite vivid otherwise, and perhaps a bit much for the very young viewers, as again stated by professional reviewers. There were a couple of younger children at my showing who were either disturbed or just restless by the length, so be warned.
About the only disappointment for me was a little bit of thread left totally hanging at the very end. Nothing leading to a sequal, just an untied thread which I will not disappoint readers by revealing. You will simply have to see for yourself. Go and see the movie to find out!

Great Movie!!!! I am recommending this movie to everyone I know. The kids loved it, we loved it!! My favorite part was the river scene when the bad king was swallowed by the water. The interaction between Aslan and the Water God was very powerful. If you have the chance to see this movie, go. It's well worth the cost of admission!!
