I saw this movie and was captivated from start to finish. I was amazed by this one as I was the first. It was nice to see to original cast used in this one without having waited to long to make it. The children seemed to have aged in real life so as that they fit in wonderfully with the plot of this movie seeming to taking place a year since they had left Narnia. I was so caught up that I rushed home to check out when or if there will be a third. I am definitly hungry for another, which thankfully there seems to be one in the works. Yeah!!!

I thought this movie was ok. The CGI was nice, but that’s to be expected in this day and age. My friend thought it was a very good movie, but I could take it or leave it. It’s not that it’s a bad movie. The only time I’ll say a movie is ‘bad’ is if is when I feel like I’ve wasted my time watching it. That didn’t happen here. It was in fact, a decent movie that would stand well on it’s on. The problem is that this movie is a sequel to the far superior ‘The Lion, the which and the Wardrobe”. Viewed in this light, it’s a candle in the sun. I understand the need to continue the storyline, but other than that, there was no reason for this movie to have been made.

I adored this movie. The plot line/character development is not as detailed or intricate as the first movie, but that didn't really bother me. I am a huge fan of the books, so I knew enough to fill in the blanks. The cinematography and special effects were unbelievable. I was brought to tears several times by the pure majesty of the creatures, trees, Aslan, etc. I did think it was a little too violent for young children, although there is little blood and no gore. Maybe it should have been rated PG13 since almost the entire movie centers around death and warfare. That aside, I can't wait to go see it again and just drink in the beauty. Man, I wish Narnia were a real place.

The special effects were very good and it seemed like a lot of effort was put forth into this film yet it fell short for me in many ways. I figured after three years the children would mature in their acting yet I still found them to be very poor actors. The screenplay was irritating because they went from very mature action scenes to goofy little jokes for kids, that's Disney for you. After the first hour I was questioning to leave or not. This movie was "o.k.".

The movie was very good overall.....it seemed a little long winded in a few parts that didnt need to be but lacked a little in some of the story. Maybe they are waiting to explain some more in a 3rd edition? Other than that the plot was very easy to follow and the characters were very likeable. This movie is not near as accurate to the book as the first movie was. However, a lot of these adaptations were needed because of the way the book starts, the plot starts with Peter and the others and works backwards to tell Caspian's history. This would be confusing and hard to do in a movie, so they did it in sequence. There's also several scenes that never happened, but they work in well with the book-based parts. I would strongly recommend this movie to anyone of any age. The actors that play humans do a remarkable job of bringing Lewis's characters to life. If you have an imaginative bone in your body, the CGC animals and dwarfs look exactly like the readers would imagine them. This is a great retelling of a classic story that has been adapted to the big screen without sacrificing much for the long time fans.

I really enjoyed this movie. I found it better than Wardrobe because the characters and the setting have already been established. You get a little peak at what the Pevensies have been up to since their last Narnia trip, and then they are whisked back to Narnia.
All the actors are getting older and I think their acting chops are improving. Prince Caspian is also wonderful.
Having not read the book the only part that was a little confusing was understanding the existing relationship between the Narnians and the Tamarins, but I was able to get the gist of it. Lots of action and excitment. Over all great movie and I will see it again soon!

This movie exceeded my expectations as a sequel to the first movie. You need to know the storyline so that you're not disappointed with some important features of the film (ex. not much of the White Witch, Aslan, and the Narnians have dwindled in population and look much different). This movie goes right along with the book and my 7 year-old loved it.

It is a nice family movie. My seven year old son enjoyed it very much. My husband and I thought it moved slowly at time and not as action packed as the first Chronicles of Narnia. If you have not read the books Narnia is in Chaos and under attack. So, it is a much more glommy movie then the first. I would go again and buy it when it comes out on DVD.

I took my two daughters to see it this weekend, one is 10 and other 12. I was expecting it to be really action packed like the 1st one and I was very disappointed. I took my 11 year old and my 4 year old to see this movie. I think the PG rating should have been bumped up to a PG-13 rating, for the violence. The movie was a little too scary for my 4 year old. But my 11 year old thoroughly enjoyed the movie. I agree with a previous reviewer who said that the movie was too long and the story took too long to develop. Based on information from a previous reviewer, it seems that two parts of the movie weren't included in the book: the romance between Susan and Prince Caspian and the battle scene at the castle. That's good to know since I didn't particularly care for those aspects of the movie. Overall, it is a good story which sparked conversation with my 11 year old regarding various parts of the movie that were related to the Bible. The movie will be enjoyed by older children and adults alike.

Caspian is acknowledged as one of the weakest of the Narnia book series and it plays out here. Reminded my of "The Emperor Strikes Back" in the Star Wars series, dark, moody, shifting alliances. The first half of the movie is rather slow, my kids were straining to see (the picture is very dark) and follow the story line while being engaged. Finally some interesting battles break out and the climatic battle is well done. The actors seem more wooden this time, less engaging that in Chronicles. Lucy is a wonderful character, the only one who displays emotion. Caspian is dull, lethargic and with a strange accent (Spanish/Italian?) that does not fit the rest of the characters. The storyline is complex but not explained well. Good, solid entertainment but could have been 20 mins shorter.

Being the second movie in the Narnia series I was a little skeptical about paying to see it in the theater but my daughter REALLY wanted to see it so we went to a matinee. To my surprise I really loved this one! I would have even be ok with paying the regular fee for this movie it was so good. The special effects were outstanding and the way they were still able to get the true meaning of these books out was inspiring too.

It is amazing the way this movie grabs your interest right away, the original cast is great and it's also great to see some of the old characters that were an important part in the first movie the battle between the two kindoms is something that spice up the whole story and what it makes it so different but unique from the first one and makes you want to hear of it more, the only thing is that for kids under 6 yrs. old might be a little too violent and sort of scary at some point, I think it would be best if children aroun that age range are acompained by a responsible adult!!!, other than taht the movie is a great from the begining to the end!!

I really liked Part 1 but was a bit dissapointed with the 2nd part as it lacked a bit from where the first one stood however, it was a good movie...I took my 6yr old, 10 yr, 13 yr sons and 18 yr old nephew and they all really enjoyed it. My 13yr old just received the "The Horse and His Boy" book as a gift so I will be buying the additional series so we can read them. Althought, I have read that the book is much more exciting than the movie. I wish they would stick to the books they are so much much better and I tell this to my kids so they can read the book s first and later see the movie. This will keep them reading more!

Looks like the Disney folks have another hit on their hands! Overall a visually stunning film in terms of cinematography and special effects.
As the story progresses, we see the 4 siblings show maturity in terms of their emotional growth, although more character development of their roles, as well as Prince Caspian and some of the other secondary characters would have been appreciated. There were some scenes that were unnecessary or could have been written better (parts of the opening scene are a bit much for younger filmgoers).
But in all, it's a great continuation of the story from the first film, and there's great dry and witty dialogue from both human and CGI characters that adds to the fun.

I took my 13-year-old grandson and his friend to see this movie, and they both loved it, as did my husband and I. Sometimes you worry about a sequel being as good as the first, but this one lived up to the first in every way. We loved the scenery and the cinematography was beautiful. I will definitely see it again.
