I enjoyed the movie but it just didn't seem to have that special quality that the first movie did. Obviously anyone who saw the first will go to see this one and it is worth it, can never get enough of the "magical creatures"!

We enjoyed the movie very much. The animals were very realistic and belivable. I was a little disappointed not to see Aslan as much as the book shows him, but the movie was good. This was a huge disappointment. This director did not pay attention to the casting which was the biggest downfall. The actor casted for Prince Caspian was a terrible choice. He has a great image but his acting skills are very weak. I'm very disappointed that Walden and Disney shoved this out the door and let this go and ruin the legacy. Awful movie.

The first half of the movie drags a bit in unfolding the plot, but the movie was wonderful and these young people continue to be stellar in their believeability. I was disappointed in Matthew Lillard's performance. I have seen much better craftmanship out of him, and could be a big part of why the first half of the movie became a little annoying. Ray Liotta has been better too and since they share the screen quite a bit, that could very well have been it. The special effects, the underlying themes and the other cast members made it very worthwhile to see. This is not a "wait on the DVD" kinda movie. It should be experienced in the theater.

Ok...I am the one parent that didn't like the film. My 8 year old daughter loved it. My main issue is with ALL OF THE VIOLENCE. I felt like I was at a RAMBO movie. There is confinual sword fighting and killing throughout the movie. What kind of message does this send to the CHILDREN? Also, I think the storyline could have been much better. They could have written a better story with less violence. This is supposed to be a children's movie. So why do we have so much violence in this thing? Oh well....just my humble opinion. Thanks. Rather than focus on techinical aspects of special effects or the dramatic performances of the cast, I choose to focus on whether or not I was able to enjoy the movie. I definitely enjoyed this movie. There is something for everyone in this movie. Although it is a bit darker than the first film, there is surprisingly more humor. The Pevensie children are much better this time and the movie as a whole is more enjoyable than the first. Before taking the very little ones, please be advised there is more violence in this one (and not everyone is saved) but there is very little blood. Overall a very enjoyable 2 1/2 hours and it is certain to peak interest for the next installment, "Voyage of the Dawn Treader."

Surprisingly, the movie was able to stick to book relatively closely. From the beginning there is always something on the screen to hold your attention. Even for my kids ages 6, 4, and 2.
Overall I would recommend this movie to anyone, based on the battle scenes alone.

The special effects are second to none, and the wild ride to Narnia and back was non-stop excitement! The battles were intense and beautifully choreographed. The messages of perseverance, dignity, and belief are all poignant and respectable. It's so good to see that some in Hollywood still know how produce honorable pieces of art without killing God (like in The Golden Compass). This is a terrific picture that eveybody can enjoy (ages 6+). Some brief, sinister scenes may disturb younger children, so be aware.

While I would not recommend this movie for younger children (6 and under), I strongly recommend it for fans of the fantasy/action genre or fans of CS Lewis. The acting was more mature with better character development than the first film. The action sequences are electrifying - kudos to the sound editors and the second unit team. The plot has a few interesting twists, but what really carries this films are the battle sequences. The photography is beautiful, and I thought the CGI work was well above the first film.

I took my younger daughter to see this movie. We went to the first one and later purchased the DVD because she loved it so much. We enjoyed it very much and would recomend it any one.
