My kids and I loved the first movie, "The Lion, ,the Witch, and the Wardrobe". So, when we heard that this was coming out, we couldn't wait to go see it. Unfortunately, this time, it seems like the movie lacked the freshness and lustre of the first, and it was hard to follow what exactly was going on. Too many fight scenes, similar to LOTR, and lots of history that wasn't explained very well. This movie would probably be ok for older kids, but even if your little ones loved the first one, I'd hold off on this, ,and wait for the DVD to come out. That way, when they fall asleep, it t will be on your couch, and not in an uncomfortable theatre seat.

Not as good as the first. The Prince Caspian actor was not much of an actor. The four original stars were good. The story was light and way too much of the same thing. This movie brought very little originality to the screen. Not nearly as suspense filled as the first.

A lot of movies tend to falter in a sequal. Especially with a series like this; based on childhood classics. This one only got better. You fall in love with the Pevansie children again and are awed by WETA's talent.

The directors of Prince Caspian did a wonderful job of capturing the essence of the book and translating it to the big screen. This movie truly takes you to the land of Narnia and allows you to relate to the characters as they battle Miraz and win back Narnia. Although they were not able to include all of the scenes from the book and added several new scenes when you come away from this movie you feel as if you had just stepped out of the book itself. This movie will allow old fans of the book to relive the adventures that the Prevensies had in Narnia and will take new fans on a whirl wind ride of adventure and wonderment. This is an excellent choice for any one looking for a good summer movie whether they are fans of Narnia or simply looking for a good movie.

I would tell my friends to go see it. And think this movie would be great to take your whole family to lots of action no gore which is great for the kids but filled with lots of suspense and makes you wonder what's gonna happen next. The movie itself was very action-packed. In keeping with C.S. Lewis' original storyline, one could tell Disney's hand had popularized and made it more appealing to a wider audience. The cliche one-liners were somewhat distracting, but added a little humor.
The Reepicheep character was really well done and added to the heritage of Chronicles of Narnia.

My husband and I were nervous about taking our two kids, ages 6 and 9, to this 2+ hour movie...but we need not have been. Our kids sat rapt while this spectacular adventure unfolded before us. This film is true to the spirit of the entire Narnia adventure; I would even venture to say that it is superior to the first film in almost every way. The child actors' abilities have improved greatly, making it easier to go along for the ride with them. Prince Caspian is excellently cast. The effects are awesome, as before. I found myself really caring for all of the characters, even though all of the Narnian characters, except for Aslan, were new to this film, while old favorites were gone. The film moves along at a good clip, never feeling too drawn out or too long. I would heartily recommend it to anyone, of any age. Perhaps its' finest feature is that, at its' heart, it presents to us flawed characters who find that by asking for God's help (represented by Aslan), they find the ability to defeat the evil both within and without.

Overall impression: Very enjoyable, great themes, Good and evil, Production values are outstanding. Casting and Acting: The young actors are more comfortable and project a sense of , hope amidst their flawed characters. Prince Caspian and others are well cast. The irony: It is a wonder that although the youngest two trust more and do better it is them who still will be able to come back to Narnia. Memorable moment: Edmund's action towards the Ice queen. Others had been so harsh on him during the "Lion, witch..." for making the wrong choice yet here he is making the right one. The regret: Perhaps this is just a matter of opinion but at moments the pace of a movie seemed a bit sluggish. The veredict: Go and watch it!! While it may have a lot of violence for children; there are many themes worth discussing with young viewers.

Sorry everyone but unfortunately this movie was pretty weak. I mean i was throughly disappointed because I really enjoyed the first one! From a film perspective, I'd say the editing /story, and acting was what killed it for me. Keanu Reeves's look-a-like as prince Caspian was a joke. From a lay perspective, just i mean again the plot .. The only thing I can think of is that anyone going to see this must read the book(s) first or they will be lost and and wanting to walk out of the movie.

I got to watch this movie in a theater called, "Warren Theater". It looks like it came straight out of New York. The sound system in this movie theater made the experience so much more memorable. I love the special effects, the acting, the drama, the suspense, and the humor. I love all the characters in this movie.

My partner and I could not believe how slow-paced this movie was with obvious Lord of the Rings wannabe action battle scenes. There were so many sub-plots that at time we were a little confused. Couldn't understand why the the head king was always upset. Why the hero Aslan only on screen 10 minutes? Why did Price Caspian have a bad accent? I don't know if it was the theatre, but the sound quality was that of a local drive in. There film also lacked any luster; unpolished. I would either wait for the DVD or pay a bargain matinee price. It's apparent that the die-hard Narnia fans will refute my opinion, but hey, I thought this second film would carry on the success of the first movie. It didn't.

What keeps me from giving this a 5* (perfect) rating, is that first of all, they downplayed Aslan—the absolute Hero of all of the Chronicles. Secondly, they left out some really GOOD STUFF - perhaps to have more of the fighting & warring scenes? The Chronicles of Narnia were written for children, though a vast number of adults rave about them because it’s such awesome reading. But I would not take very young children to see it because of the amount of violence. Some violence would be appropriate because it’s a fact of life, but I think it could have been more balanced. BTW—if and when they make The Magician’s Nephew, I’m hoping Christopher Lloyd plays the part of Uncle Andrew.

I loved this movie. We saw it twice over the weekend. It is action-packed. For those who love sword movies, it's excellent. My only disappointment was there wasn't enough time given to develop Caspian's charater. They could have taken a couple of minutes at the beginning to let us get to know him before they sent him running headlong into the forest. Having Caspian and the professor sneak up to the roof would have been exciting enought to draw the audience in. I particularly liked the sequence where they were thinking about bringing back the white witch. No reflection on C.S. Lewis, but for a movie, this depiction was superb. Every time Peter led a charge I wanted to get up and yell "For Naria!" as well.

...but a good movie nevertheless. I thoroughly enjoyed this film. The violence is more intense than that in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, but that was to be expected. I feel that fans of the C. S. Lewis originals will enjoy this film. However, to give them fair warning, there are some slight deviations from the book. They aren't major or plot-threatening, but remember, this is a movie, not the book. Overall, I found the film quite entertaining, captivating, and enjoyable. I await the release of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader with eager anticipation!

Awesome movie ! The movie is full of actions, excitement, adventure. It is filled with various emotions... excitement, fears, joy, sorrows, etc. Though the movie has more violence unlike the first one, the message was clear - the fight between the good and evil and there is always defeat of the evil and victory for the good though it comes with lots of hardships and sacrifice. Aslan was once again gorgeous. The cinamatography and animation is great.

I am 63 years old. I took my 6 year old granddaughter to see this movie. We both enjoyed it very much. After the movie was finished I asked which one she liked better, the first one or this one....she answered that she liked this one the best. My only disappointment was that Asland was not in this movie very much.

The storyline is classic C.S. Lewis. I believe HE would be proud of the effort made to produce this film. The character development was good and the message was clear. My only criticism is that this movie should carry a PG-13 rating. Parents of children younger than 12 should be strongly cautioned. While there is little or no bloodshed seen, the violence is intense.

Don't listen to all the people that criticize the movie, it is truly an entertaining ride. You'll find yourself gripped onto the screen the entire movie, not being able to tear your eyes away for even a moment. i didnt even go to the bathroom because i didnt want to miss a thing. when i dropped something, i didnt bother reaching down cause i was so into it. There are one or two very minor flaws in the movie, but you won't really notice it. I thought the acting was very good, the visual and sound effects were AMAZING. you really feel like you're THERE. the comedy is very clever at some points, you'll smile and laugh at loud with the rest of the audience. The audience, oh man, they really got into it. There was cheering for the excellent parts and booing for the bad guys, laughing at the comical areas. But I don't wanna spoil anything so i won't make any comments about the storyline, but you have GOT to watch it. Just don't expect a completely perfect movie, and you'll really, really enjoy it. It's worth the 2 hours. The time flies by SO fast, seriously. You'll wish that there was a 3rd movie. If there is, i will surely go see it.

One of the best movies we've seen. The director and producer did an outstanding job of trying to capture the essence of this C.S. Lewis' classic tale. We felt the movie was true to the book. Many of the lines between the main characters and the residents of Narnia were quite humorous and edifying. Scenery and story were both quite breathtaking. Most importantly, it was worth the price of admission to see truth and goodness triumph, while watching the main characters also mature approriately.

All the magic was sucked out of the story! Aslan barely played a part in the movie and what was with King Peter being a jerk?! The whole point is that they have changed and do good things because they have met Aslan! Peter is high king for a reason! And it didn't even seem like he repented for his actions when he met Aslan in the end. There was no trembling awe before Aslan as in the book. Yes, it was visually pleasing and the battle scenes were thrilling but that's any movie nowadays. They tried to do a Lord of the Rings, but failed. The most disappointing part was the little crush between Caspian and Susan. What really was the point of that kiss? Narnia was never about the romance! Such a big disappointment!

Definitely, better than the orginal. The sword fighting alone is worth a view. Plus the story had less of religious undertone than before. Which is probably what made it a more fun movie to watch.

This is a must see movie. Regardless of your opinion about the “Chronicles of Narnia” series of books, you will enjoy this movie. It's different, has a great plot, lots of action scenes and the cgi is awesome. In some ways it's better than the 1st movie,...Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe, but in other ways it's not. I guess the first time you see the creatures is the best and the 1st movie had a bit more drama. Go see it for yourself!

Heard a 'lukewarm' review on local radio the day I attended. Had to chalk it up to him being a 'guy'. There are slow, artistic moments in the movie. I didn't find them particularly annoying...they were reflective. The only piece that may have been more condensed (enough already) would have been the rushing water scene.
