If you loved the book, you'll love this movie. IF you have never heard of Where the Wild Things Are, then you might not know what is going on at first and not quite understand the plot, but if you have any sense about you, you'll fall in love and want to go read the book.
What truly made me happy about this film is that they not only had Sendack's (the book's author) blessing, they used live action wild things with only cgi for their faces. Jim Henson's creature shop made the wild things and it really was honest and gave the sense that these creatures were really real. It took me back to great movies such as Labyrinth and the only real complaint I have is that I wanted more!

The movie does a great job putting the audience in Max's place of dealing with emoltional swings and trying to get rid the world of sadness but not being equipped to do so.

This movie was awesome! It really makes you feel like a kid again because of how believable the characters are. It's not your typical animated movie where everything is happy and perfect. It's much more quirky, the characters have highs and lows and you share that with them on screen. I highly recommend this film!

I feel like this movie is amazing. It's Wonderful and a great flick for an adult who grew up with the book. It deals with adult issues and isn't really a Kids movie, it has a deeper meaning and may be rough/confusing for kids. Though it is noteworthy that there are also parts that are wonderfully joyus and bring laughter. It's an interesting roller coaster of a film.

I would recommend this film to children whom have read the book but for adults I think that it kind of sucked it lost my attention and I started to fall asleep. there were some dry spots and I just couldnt keep focused.
