This was a great movie. Some great characters are gone but there are some great new ones. My son (4 1/2 yrs) loved it! The only bad part of the movie was that part of the movie Buzz has subtitles and for my son who can't read he had to ask what he was saying. Wonderful ending to an amazing moving franchise. We will be buying the DVD when it is available so we can forever ejoy these lovable toys.

This was the best of the series. It was wonderful seeing Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Bullseye and the rest of the gang again and meeting a few new characters as well. Saying goodbye was sad but they went out on top. Bring lots of tissues.
Warning!
Some scenes may be a little intense for younger children.

Lots of fun and perfectly wriiten. My 4 & 8 year old girls had fun and want to see the other two movies. 'Wife and I liked how they were all connected, but not dependent on the first two. Good ending and range of emotions throughout. Totally worth taking your family or a innocent date night flick. I will buy it on Blu-Ray.

The creative and talented minds at Pixar have created yet another
movie classic. Toy Story 3 was a well thought out, and beautifully written
finale to this timeless series. My family and I loved the movie and the ending
was, perfection. Laughs are never ending but tissues should be accessible.
Thanks to Pixar for a magical movie experience.

This is a great movie. It is on par with

My hubby and I took our kids to see this movie. We absoutely LOVED IT!!! It was full of action-packed adventure and it kept the attention of our two-year old LITERALLY! His eyes were glued to the screen. At some points in the movie, I was on edge with anticipation. My hubby got teary-eyed toward the end ---that was surprising!!!

HI have a typical 7yr old daughter and a 5yr son on the high (functioning) end of the autism spectrum.
My 7yr daughter enjoyed the movie, until the end . She was sad about the boy having to give away his toys, even though he was a lot older. But was happily crying that a little girl got some new toys to love.
The 5yr old was another story. Children with autism usually don't understand social ques and the like which made this move VERY HARD FOR HIM TO WATCH.
My son has attended other movies from start to finish and has been fine. We frequently go, maybe once a month. He even sat through all of IronMan2 because he just loves IronMan.
Anyway - While my son was absolutely thrilled and couldn't wait to see this movie, there were some parts that he couldn't "handle" or "conceptualize" or "get over".
Each of these 'didn't likes' turned into a SCREAMING frenzy in the theater, to the point we couldn't calm him down, had to walk out, and come back in slowly, standing on the ramp until my son thought he could sit back and watch the movie:
-he didn't like when Buzz turned bad; he didn't understand why Buzz turned on his friends
-he didn't like when Buzz spoke spanish
-he didn't like the mean bear, ESPECIALLY when the movie made him the size of the screen
-he didn't like when the friends almost ended up in the trash
-he didn't like ANY of the FIRE PIT scene
-he didn't like that the trash truck almost got them or when they ended up in the trash heap
The last 45min of the movie was torcher for him!
My son is not a hand flapper, a screamer/cryer, or one who hits his ears. But this night he was.
So, for any parent who has an autistic child, I would suggest maybe yyou see the movie for yourself first and then decide if you think your child will sit through it. Don't waste your money but more importantly, don't torture your child....
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Fabulous movie......it had it all....laughs...tears....good for adults and kids both. It really hits home too if you have a teenager and have ever thought of the day they will move out....very touching and "true-to-life" on that part of it. With all the junk that's out there these days, this was something the family could all feel good about seeing together in every way. And we didn't even see it in 3D....too much money for the party of 6 we had w/ us....I'm sure it was even more fun in 3D. LOVED IT!!! People get too "thoughtful" sometimes and can ruin a good thing. Hard to believe there would be one bad review. I do have one thing to fault Disney movies for and that is that most of the movies involve single parents....and while that is fine sometimes, it doesn't need to be a prevailing ribbon in almost all of their movies (the Incredibles was one exception that comes to mind for a cartoon, but I'm sure they're others). Most of the audience-goers are from families fully in-tact, so what is Disney trying to say....it's better to have one parent, etc. It's just different and BOTH family units should be depicted.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

From the first scene of Toy Story 3, it was evident that Pixar's digital animation has been refined to achieve greater realism. I was also pleased to see consistency in the appearance and personalities of the characters. Great new story line - believable, full of humor, clever situations and incredible action. The new villain was even worse than Stinky Pete! I enjoyed it, but caution that the scenes of extreme peril are intense and I don't think they're appropriate for young children.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I don't know what it is with Pixar, they're trying to hard perhaps, in my opinion at least. In their efforts to prove how they can jerk at heartstrings, their movies of late, UP, Wall-E, and now Toy Story 3 have lacked what makes Pixar movies fun; the laughs, the subtle jokes for parents, and most of all the feel good factor.
*Spoilers*
In Wall-e they build an entire movie around a sad, lonely robot, who just wants companionship.
In UP! We watch a couple grow old together, and then be ripped apart by death...in the first 10 minutes.
In TS3, we watch Woody's heart break over Andy leaving for college, he must choose between his boy and his friends, even his friends are nearly split among themselves.
There are the occasional laughs of course, but it doesn't feel good. I didn't walk out of the theater feeling...wow...what a great movie. Cars, the Incredibles. They had it. TS1-2, definitely had it.
TS3 lacks it. Save your money, watch the DVD.
I know I know, i'm the ONE person in America who didn't like it. Take it with a grain.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Toy Story III is so we'll written it will make you wish Pixar execs were vetting every other movie you go see. Knight and Day was nowhere near as clever or as moving from belly laughs to crocodile tears. Most movies are just stupid. That's the result of writing and producing by committee. Toy Story III flattered me by challenging my intelligence and emotional breadth.

I was told by many of my friends that I absolutely HAD to go see this film, and to be completely honest, I'm so glad that I did. The previous Toy Story films were wonderful, but this one certainly topped them all, especially in the areas of creativity and overall storyline. I found myself absolutely amazed at how wonderfully imaginative this film was, it was funny without being ridiculous and touching without being overly sentimental. A must-see for kids, teens, and adults alike. If you like good movies, you'll love Toy Story 3.
