Super! We loved it as much as the kids did! I thought all the toy jokes had been used already in I and II, but no: there are so many laugh-out-loud moments in this one! And actually quite suspenseful too!

I am not a big fan on any animation sequel b/c it is never done well but Pixar and Disney really kept it together with this one. I loved it and being a third sequel was awesome. It was the perfect movie for the final goodbye me and my family really enjoyed it, my girls are still talking about it 3 days later and ready for it to come out on dvd. and yes I did tear up a couple of times...well done!!!!

This one like the other two Toy Story movies had something for everyone. Adult humor tied in with funny things all 3 of my children could understand and enjoy! Not scary like I've heard from others previous to us seeing the movie but definitely some tears shed!

This is extrordinary creativity at it's best. The cartoon featured just before the movie was an appetizer to the feast of imaginative edibles to savor. I have never taken the the time to review a movie like this, but absolutely could not resist this time. If you enjoyed Toy Story 1 and 2 you will not be dissapaointed, unless you wait to see it on dvd. It might be worth mentioning that we went as a family. (ages 2, 16, 18, 21, 22, 47, and 48) We were just an example of the audience that filled the theater on "Father's Day"

If you loved the first two you will absolutely love the 3rd. We took our 3 year old and 14 year old and they enjoyed it thoroughly. It was my 3 year old's first movie in the theater and it kept her attention for all but 5 minutes. Im not a big Toy Story fan but the movie kept at a constant pace and did not induce sleep.

Went to see the movie with my husband and 13 year old son on Father's Day. LOVED IT! I worry with a sequel (especially a third) that it's just a money grub attempt. How can it be fresh and interesting? Well, the folks who do the animation prove once again that they are the best. The toys truly look and act human, it's hard to believe they are not real. The story is fresh and the addition of several new characters enhances the whole thing. I laughed out loud several times, chuckled lots and got teary-eyed in several spots. I think I would have been sobbing like a baby if I had been at home! My son made fun of me!
Like all really good animated stories, this one works for all ages. Run, don't walk, to see this in the theaters. Wonderful film.

A little darker than the first two, but entertaining. Lotso was sinister, more so than Stinky Pete and Sid and the scene at the garbage station descending into the fire pit might be scary for younger kids.
Animation is outstanding, though, and the cast of characters can't be beat. Both my kids enjoyed it.

We went to a late sold out show and there were no children in the theater. That just goes to show the genius of Toy Story. It's not a kid movie, it's an everyone movie. It makes you laugh, it makes you cry, and it even makes you sit on the edge of your seat! Everyone was cheering and laughing and having a good time. You have to see this movie. You just have to.

We are huge Toy Story fans. Our 2 boys have Buzz & Woody dolls, watch the movies a few times a month. We absolutely adored Toy Story 1 & 2 for their old-fashioned charm when it comes to stories for kids. i.e. in TS1, Sid the mean kid next door gets schooled on how to treat toys and Woody and Buzz become best friends. in TS2, Stinky Pete is dishonest, selfish, arrogant, and ends up separated from his toys to end up with a barbie-doll loving girl, while Jesse & Bulls Eye get a new home in Andy's room. TS3 is a complete departure from the charming tone set in the previous films. *SPOILER ALERT* About mid-way through it turns very dark with an especially evil, villain ("Lotso," big, soft cuddly teddy bear that smells like strawberries, which makes for the most unlikely villain). Andy's toys become imprisoned and are treated with extreme cruelty (Mr. Potato Head is removed from "population" and taken away separately, thrown into a dark, isolated sand box, while his friends and wife, Mrs. Potato Head are left scared and wondering what's been done with him. "Lotso" even attempts to kill the other toys in a drawn-out, terrifying, scene. My 4 yr old son crawled onto my lap, covered his eyes, and asked me to tell him when it was over, and this wasn't even the 3-D version. The ending is very bittersweet, touching, really beautiful, made both my husband and I cry, but the journey getting there was so draining, I can't imagine ever seeing this movie again. Toy Story 3 is a very dark and scary departure from Toy Story 1 & 2, and I would definitely not recommend it for small children.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

We took our 6, 3 & 2 year old - I was a little concerned that my 2 year old would not make it through the whole movie but she sat and watched the whole thing. It was really a great movie, can't wait to watch it as many times as I have seen Toy Story 1 & 2 - My husband said he got choked up at the end and I was a little tearful too. Some parts were a little "scarier" than the previous movies but I was happy to see those characters turn around for the better

I wasn't expecting much going into this movie as it was the third in the series. However, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie. They did a good job of wrapping the whole series up while making a movie with an enjoyable plot on its own. One disclaimer is that it is the scariest Pixar movie made yet. My kids had to turn around quite a bit and many other kids in the theater had to step out for a bit.

I highly recommend going to see Toy Story 3. It is a great movie, filled with adventure, laughs, and just enough suspense to keep you engaged. I especially like the way the movie stresses the importance of loyalty, friendship, and community in overcoming obstacles; a mindset that is severely lacking in our modern-day individualistic culture (for which we are all the worse off, in my opinion). Go toys!

SPOILER ALERT!!
So my hunky cousin told me that Toy Story 3 was "SOOOOO GOOOD, I was bawling" -- and I was like, what? Wow. Because I know that he normally doesn't watch movies on the big screen, and he's not the kind of guy who would 'cry at movies' - he's a surfer dude, cool, go with the flow, etc. So I let that comment register.
Then I saw Toy Story 3 3D the next day (at the Promenade at the Howard Hughes Center) and man, oh, man, I was CAPTIVATED by all the old familiar characters again. They weren't outdated or weirdly uncomfortable feeling. It all just felt RIGHT - like the people behind the movie REALLY thought about character development, storylines, message, humour, great scenes (LOVE the Ken doll in the Barbie Dream House with his clothes, the AMAZING fashion show (OMG), the montage piece when Andy plays with Bonnie and that letting go process is revealed..) -- They must have a shrink in their screenwriting process because they have some EXCELLENT storyline/messages that are POWERFUL to growns-up (and kids).
So YES, I bawled my eyes out at that end scene because it was so true and beautiful and real and I could FEEL that poignancy, that loss, the giving up, the letting go - and that insta-growth as he magnanimously lets his beloved toys 'be taken care of' by a little girl who he KNOWS will treasure and play with them.
So beautiful. An absolute must-see, must watch on IMAX 3D now, and can't wait to get it on DVD.
I want to go again!
