The movie had good action scenes but the story line was never developed well and the ending was very abrupt and didn't provide any closure to the story line at all. It felt like they ran out of time and simply stopped the movie. Very unsatisfying.

I would not recommend this movie. It started good, the middle was just ok but the ending was terrible. I want to meet the people who said "this will be a great flick!". Can I get my money back? I expected more. On the up side the music in the movie was great.

The movie has great fighting scenes but it lacks a decent story line. You don't know Toroops past or why the world is the way it is and he get's blown up to much. It never explains how Aroura lived from the bomb explosion in the end and why she died at the end. The movie start had you hooked but towards the end it looses it's momentum. The end fighting scene is very short and poor, and you never find out what happens to Aroura's mother. Is she still looking for her? I wouldn't recommend seeing this to a friend because the movie overall just doesn't feel right and doesn't explain quite a bit.

We were slightly dissapointed in the way the film was put together. I can't blame Vin and the other actors, they did a great job. But the camera views were terrible! The cameras moved to fast, the action sceens flew by and you were left wondering why we could not see any of what was happening? The caneras needed to pull back a lot,..to many close ups. The story line was good. The affects were good. The cameras moved so fast you accualy got dizzy trying to watch it. It was like they tried to cram 2 hrs of action packed stuff into a 1 1/2 hour movie. But we still love yah Vin!!!!!

Too much of the story is unexplained, great action but there is just not enough story. Why was the religion wanting her, for what plan, why did she die, why are her children of different race? much unexplained. I guess Ill go read the book

Some movies based on books just jump right out at you from the silver screen, some books just don't make good movies, and some are only good if you read the book first. Unfortunately, Babylon A.D. fits squarely in the last category. The movie is visually appealing, and the acting is credible, but nevertheless, only those who have already read the story are going to see any depth to this movie. This is the same phenomenon that happened with the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. As it stands, it is only just OK because there is a lot of action throughout the movie, and the good vs evil theme is plain enough, but as it stands, it is still only two dimensional. Personally, it is a good candidate for a DVD rental.

This movie is just bad. That one star does to much service to this movie. I don't know what happened, but it is possibly the most plotless movie of all time. If you just want an excuse for death this is it. But most of the time it's not even good deaths. The bad guys are not really in the movie. You will walk away not caring one bit about a single character. I think a better use of time is watching paint dry or your grass grow. You might see an interesting story that way.

"Escapism" The late great James Brown sang about it. And Babylon A.D. is a great example of it. I'm going through a housing problem and this movie just scooped me out of reality and made me forget my troubles. Vin Diesel was super cool! And Michelle Yeoh was super rad! But the story and some of the scenes seemed far fetched, contrived, and formula. On top of that,the ending left me hanging in a bad way. Oh well, back to reality...

Not a must see, but a decent story to keep you watching, action is fast and hard to follow if your new to action, I would say this is a movie you buy but never know when you will watch it, just a decent movie to have.
