It´s an old film but very well made it´s good that Mario Puzo also played a part in directing and preparing the dialogue of this film, so that it would have more to do wiith the book, as the book is fantastic. I have seen it many times before but I loved watching it at the Grauman´s Chinese Theatre that was a real treat.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors

This is one of those rare movies that is absolute perfection. Each layer of the movie works, the casting is brilliant, each shot is carefully crafted, the script is amazing, the music wrapped it up into a perfect package.

Every classic mob movie you have ever seen has spawned from this movie. Marlon Brando has never delivered like this performance given here. Al Pacino staked his legendary name with his part in this movie. Go rent it today. No better yet, buy it and make an afternoon unforgettable.

Seeing The Godfather remastered and on the big screen was like a bolt of lightening reminding me why this movie is a cinematic masterpiece.
How awesome that a movie can be at the same time powerfully dramatic and subtle.
Even after seeing it ten or more times over the years I was in awe of how much it moved me.
Maybe it was just the shock of seeing a brilliant movie that sustained brilliance for three hours on the big screen. Seems like a rarity now. Except of course Beverly Hills Chihuahua Ha! ;)

The reissue of The Godfather is absolutely incredible. The movie is, of course, one of the best ever made, but now the film quality makes it even better. The lighting is superb and the quality of the pictures is unmatched. It is even better on the huge Cinerama screen.
