To see this movie on the big screen was even better than I thought it would be. I am a huge Halloween fan and the first one of the series is of course the best. The only problem I had with the movie was that it was shown in wide-screen and it was not meant to bee seen in this format, causing some key details to be cut out (i.e. the eaten dog scene). Other than that it was amazing to see and I hope next Halloween I can see it again!!

35 years ago Halloween was unleashed on unsuspecting audiences, even today it stands the test of time as one of the most frightening, primal horror movies ever concieved, Michael Myers is one of the most. recognizable characters in movie history, and seeing this masterpiece on the big screen was one of the most memorable events I've ever been a part of, more frightening than Freddy, more brutal than Jason, this movie is and always shall be the alpha and the omega of all slasher films, the granddaddy of them all, the one, the only, the original, HALLOWEEN, YOU CAN'T KILL THE BOGEYMAN!!!
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, best movie ever

One of the original horror films, definite classic!
Such a simple yet great movie for it's time. Wish horror movies could have stayed less gory over the years.

Ok. There is no reason why this shouldn't have been a 35mm print release. Just showing a Blu Ray is a lazy and cheap way to go for a studio release, especially for the tickets being close to $10. You can own the Blu Ray for cheaper than that.. The 35mm print looks so much better. Also the Blu Ray cleanup took out all of Dean Cundy's Blu Filter. People have said you couldn't notice it but they are wrong and it's painfully obvious. That being said, it was fun to see it on the big screen for the first time. The movie is excellent in every aspect despite it's minor flaws being a low budget independent film. But that is part of it's charm. It is the grandfather to all horror films today and is still the best.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors

This is the movie that started it all...The Horror Movie Genre!! John Carpenter changed how "things" were done!! I am so glad I go to see it on the big screen I was too young the first time!! The Music is a character all by itself! Thank you for the Re-release!!
