I am a huge Resident Evil fan and was a bit disappointed by the newest movie. There really wasn't much story and and a lot of questions were unanswered. I did like the special effects as always, but I could have waited till it comes out on DVD.

Very good special effects, 3D fairly effective, with action to spare. Now you know the best part. As far as the movie goes, some things, like the mutants in this series, should simply stay dead. This series has outlived it's entertainment value. Although it's hard to do, the plot in this movie was less than I expected. And there's final (hopefully) episode coming? I understand why the theater I attended had maybe 20 patrons. Word must have gotten out from the opening weekend. If you haven't seen this movie, WAIT UNTIL THE DVD. The best part about this movie was it was only 1-1/2 hours long. Any longer and the FBI would have investigated it for cruel & inhumane punishment.

As a fan of Resident Evil movies, I was so stoked to see this. I highly recommend anyone to watch it. There are some movies that you can wait until rental, and some that need to be seen in theaters. This is one of those movies you need to have the full potential experience and watch in 3D IMAX!

One of the best 3D effect movies I have seen in the theater. It was a well told stand alone movie. If you didn't see any of the other movie you will be ok

This is definitely not one of the better entries in this series. The action and effects were good but plot-line almost non-existent. Seemed like a pointless filler movie while they work on the advertised finale.

Great continuation of the RE series! 3D was great, fight scenes incredible! Story was cool as well...must see!
However, DO NOT BUY TIX FROM MOVIETICKETS.COM. We bought them online and then got to the theater where they were not recognized. The Manager had to come out and manually run the transaction and says MovieTickets.com is the worst. They always have trouble like that, and they call for assistance and the support is awful. use Fandango or just go to the theater and buy tickets ahead if necessary. Not worth the hassle and delay of using this site, plus having to pay the extra service fee! The only reason we did is because we received a gift certificate this time...never again.

I have always been a fan of this series, and was excited to go see this. The movie was great and I feel like with each installment it gets closer and closer to what the games were like in a sense, moving away from just zombies closer to the mutations. The story fell a little flat, didn't seem like there was one, I understand the story across all of them, but this one felt a bit disjointed. All together it was a great movie and would recommend it highly to fans of the series as well as people just joining in on the series, of course you need to watch the rest first =D Also another thing, I love when a movie is shot in 3D, after watching I experienced no headaches or anything, I like it for the immersion, but I will say that after awhile the effect fades and feels like a regular 2D movie but I wanted to see it in IMAX =P

The plot was kinda thin, but I expected as much. Lots of great visual effects, action packed, and I enjoyed watching hot chicks in slow motion, although the acting by the blonde was pretty awful. Overall it was fun to watch. The ending was intriguing and should have anyone who saw this installment coming back again.

As a fan of the zombie genre and a fan of Resident Evil I have to say that this instalment of Anderson's vision is the perfect continuation of his and Alice's story. The visual effects and action sequences make this a great action adventure movie. The addition of characters from the video games gave those of us gamers an extra reason to love this movie. Resident Evil: Retribution, just like the previous RE: After Life is a must see in 3D. Anderson shows the world how 3D is supposed to look like. This is a must see for any and all movie fans

Bringing in classic Resident Evil Characters and not adding in "movie" characters to further the story line made this my favorite of the series. When you see them in their trademark costumes and mannerisms you can't help but cheer them on. Definitely worth seeing in IMAX / IMAX 3D

Slick, savage and thrilling, Retribution takes the Resident Evil franchise to the next level and beyond. Forget about the fact that the movie doesn't follow the games, Anderson takes the world of RE and really makes it his own and you can really see that in this latest installment. The Imax 3D only enhances this movie and makes it feel like your in Alice's world and fighting Umbrella along with her. So ignore the haters and go see for your self why this a must see pick.
