Safe Haven was a feel good movie with a twist at the end. The setting was terrific, the little girl was cute as a button, and Julianne Hough was an amazingly attractive woman.

I was blown away by this movie. It pulled on my heartstrings and really hit home base. I am buying this movie as soon as it comes out on DVD, but it was so good that I don't want to ruin the memories of it by over-watching it. I reccomend this movie to anyone who loves romance movies. There is a plot and its not just kissing and sex the whole time. It is hard to put words with a movie so fantastic. The plot was not predictable all the way like you may think. At the end there is a major twist that even the smartes of people would never see coming. I reccomend this movie for decently mature people. I wouldn't reccomend it for anybody under the age of 15 due to the plot. There are some pretty heavy topics that are dealt with and it should not be taken lightly. To full grasp the movie and get the most out of it, you must first have matured to a certain point. Such an outstanding movie!!!!

Although this is not going to get any Academy Awards, its an easy to enjoy family film. If you have seen Sleeping With The Enemy, you will find this story very familiar. But with Lasse Halstrom as the director, the feel of this film is much more enjoyable and less focused on the lurking predator from the past. Sure its a small predictable story, but in Halstrom's hands, its definitely a feel good chick flick that men will be able to enjoy. The very ending of the film has a bit of a unique surprise twist. I'm not sure it made any difference, but it worked. If you are a fan of Nicholas Sparks novels like The Notebook, you will find yourself on familiar footing. The cast is perfect and the story moves along as easily as Julianne does when she dances.

Attended this movie with my mother and grandmother. We all agreed when the movie was over this was a top quality film. I would recommend and even be willing to see again myself! Nicholas Sparks has equaled himself in this movie! I would say it is equally as good as the Notebook and will definitely be adding it to my collection when it comes out on dvd. A must see!

I like action and thriller guy-movies so I was less than enthusiastic when my wife strongly *persuaded* me to see this movie on Valentine's Day. A part of this is that I have also been *persuaded* to see The Notebook and Dear John in the past. For an example, I laughed through the Notebook because I thought it was so bad, so here we are.
Safe Haven was actually pretty good!
Some Key Guy Points:
A) Julianne Hough is freakin' hot.
B) The action sequences are pretty gritty and realistic. Good stuff!
C) Things move quickly so you don't get too bored. (e.g. No long a** staring sequences between a 100 year old pedophile and his teenage love interest).
D) Quasi-interesting (but predictable) twist at the end.

I went into this movie with the whole "this is going to be a massive chick flick" but left with "that was a really good movie!" We thought this was going to be a romance story, with a predictable ending (had NOT read the book). It WAS a great romance, with a bit of mystery and adventure. But, the best thing: the ending TOTALLY surprised us...DID NOT see that coming! I also liked the lack of sex, bloody violence, bad language....very refreshing! Well worth seeing...

My husband and i went to see this movie last night ..and we couldn't stop talking about how much we enjoyed this movie..it was one of the best movies we have seen in a long time..I'm not one to see the same movie twice,but I would DEFINITELY see this one again!!!

This is a great movie for guys and gals. My husband liked it just as much as I and we thought it was really great. I loved the scenery, the acting, and really liked that they took the relationship slowly. It made it more believable. I liked the action aspect of the guy chasing her and getting more and more psychotic. And really wasn't expecting the twist at the end. All in all a really great movie that I would recommend totally.

My husband and I went to this movie for a Valentine's/Anniversary date. Neither of us really knew much about it but have enjoyed Nicholas Sparks movies in the past. We both enjoyed it very much. Not as predictable as some movies of this type but ties up neatly in the end. I happen to LIKE that!
