We loved this movie! What a finish! Christopher Nolan did such a great job drawing us into this seemingly hopeless story of hopelessness. Evil always seems to be in control, way ahead of the game, 5 steps in front of anyone who is trying to fight them. That's what makes the movie, and its ultimate conclusion, so satisfying and fun to experience. Loved it!
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, fun to watch

Overall one of the best movies i have probably seen still not sure though if better than the previous dark night movie, as this trilogy was just amazing

I liked that it was more about the story and not the action. There is plenty of action but not constant like the 2 previous movies but I do think that it was a perfect mix of action and storytelling.

I think with all the hype surrounding this movie, there was a lot for it to live up to, and it didn't disappoint. The plot had dramatic turns, we got to see our old favorites and some new ones too. The action was intense, the special effects magnificent. And yet, I probably won't be seeing this movie more than twice in theaters... Certainly not the five times Avengers drew me in. To me, there was just to depth to the film that needed another viewing to see, nor the excitement of action or humor of dialogue that would entice me to view it many times. I felt like after all the plot twists were revealed, the movie didn't really have a re-watch value, at least as far as storyline goes. I would highly recommend seeing it once however, it did manage to catch me by surprise a few times.

Earlier this summer I walked out of the midnight premiere of Avengers, thinking to myself that it was the greatest movie of the summer. I was wrong. While Avengers has a wonderful cast with solid acting, a good story, and great effects, Dark Knight Rises was just something deeper. The gritty and raw feeling of Dark Knight Rises left me nearly speechless and the pace kept me from ever drifting off, something Dark Knight wasn't capable of doing. This was a rare trilogy where I felt that every movie successfully built upon and then exceeded the preceding installment, and I can not conceive an ending that would have left me any more satisfied.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors

It was great to watch all three movies in progression at the marathon. It was my first marathon, but won't be my last! I want to see the DKR again to see what I missed the first time around. Great movie! Great time!

I truly enjoyed the marathon. Thanks to Harkins for allowing us to get all caught up on the story before seeing "The Dark Knight Rises."
While there were a few plot holes, some 'ultra violence,' and I'll have to turn on the closed captioning to understand Bane when I purchase the DVD, I loved the movie. Christian Bale is known for giving his all to get into character and I could feel his pain and anger in my gut.
Having said that, my absolute favorite character was Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake. Anne Hathaway was beautiful as always, but I think I liked Michelle Pfeiffer as 'Cat Woman' more.
I applaud Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Tom Hardy and Liam Neeson for their fantastic skills at bringing their characters to life.
And last, but not least, a hearty 'Thank You' for Christopher Nolan.
