My friend saw the movie and when she was telling me about it I couldnt stop laughing then a few days later we saw it together. It was just as funny as she made it seem. One of the main reasons I went to see the movie was because of Fat Amy and she was everything my friend said she was she makes the movie with out her the movie wouldnt be the same.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors

Here is another movie openly promoting sexual relations with multiple partners and lesbianism. The musical mashups and storyline are great but get lost among the vulgarity and in-your-face sexual innuendos.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Didn't know what to expect before seeing it, ended up seeing this movie at the movies TWICE! Rebel Wilson, Anna Kendrick, and and the whole cast did an excellent job. Felt very much that the movie knew the world and all the characters totally committed to it. A must-see!!!

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. I was expecting to see the same funny scenes from the trailers and not much more. However, there was a lot more than shown in the trailers. It was "laugh out loud" funny and even my 45 year old husband loved it. We had a great time. For those reviewers who say there were too many sexual innuendos, etc for younger kids-it is PG 13. That means Parental Guidance people. There is plenty of information on the internet to determine whether or not it is appropriate for your children. Be a parent.

There is people saying that this movie is not a movie for adults. Not true. My 52 year old mother loved it, and she has no musical background. I think the story is lovely and keeps you guessing, and people say its not appropriate, you should have seen that in the trailer or rating of the movie so your fault. Personally I love the movie and I have seen it 3 times. I love it. Go see it. It's honestly a must see. And the singing! Was amazing I got goose bumps I EVEN CLAPPED after there numbers!

While Pitch Perfect seemed like an amazingly entertaining movie from the previews, I was totally bored and disappointed. The story was predictable and boring, the acting was horrendous (even for a teen movie, which, btw, I'm not sure it was) and the singing portions too far and few between and too short. The best part of this movie was the lead male and "fat Amy" they were amazing and I hope they find a vehicle more suitable for their huge talents. The dialogue was not appropriate for younger viewers (lots of sexual innuendos) and not "grown-up" enough for mature viewers. I was hoping for a wonderfully entertaining movie about singing and what I ended up with was a boring, dull attempt at entertainment. The best thing about the movie was the popcorn ;)
Cons bad acting, predictable story, vomit??? really???, too many sexual references for younger audiences

Having seen enough DRAMA for awhile, my husband and I decided to go to see this movie. It was a delight. Although being of a totally different age bracket at the theater last night, we totally enjoyed the movie. Brought back memories of when our own 3 daughters were in college. The acting was average but their voices shined.
