It appears to be a very factual documentary following the Presidents life/lifestyle and what he lived through, the cultures and their structures which formed him. His family and friends, mentors and their associations and influences. Strategies taught to him, references penned from his book and even present day occurences.
Any History buff would be pleased. Anybody politically minded or who wants to see how to change a countrys structure, or just wants to know the real man behind the smiling mask, needs to see this.

In 2008 the media did not do its job to inform and many voters did not see past the hype nor investigate the basics. The filmmakers pose a plausible and fact-based theory of why Mr. Obama has followed policies that are antithetical to American interests abroad and at home. You won't see this type of reporting/analysis in the mainstream media. Shame on them.

I liked this as it was from an Indian Immigrant who is same age and similar background from B. Obama. He was able to understand why B. Obama may do the things he does to the U.S.A. Obama has clearly a world view that would like to see equity among the poor of the world. So if he takes down the U.S.A. he could probably rule the world and usher in a type of government that would even the score around the world. He has decreased U.S. military capablity thru decrease of nuclear arms, He has spent more and put us in more debt. then ever before in history in one term. The movie gets you thinking, and I appreciate that it was shown in our area. I understand their our places who are not showing it....it truly is about freedom.

Excellent movie for all to see - should be mandatory for high school classes that went to see the local "Occupiers". The information is concrete and factual - the guests interviewed by D'Souza certainly had the credentials to pontificate on the motives of Obama.

Well, to be honest, Obama is not a perfect being and is far from being the best president in U.S history but at least the guy is trying. Why this movie made it out a few months before elections? When the republicans are at their lowest ever, well, maybe Bush did beat that fact by a landslide. He may looked as having done anything but for sure it is damn hard to clean up the tracy which accumulated in 8 years and the mess that those two previous characters created including one of the biggest lies ever which sent us to war.
Sad thing to see how divided the country is, but it is sadder to see how this country does not have the capability of thinking and analysis. Thats what the Republicans know how to exploit. A vote is going to be based in a movie, I pray that in the near future your son's are not sent to Iran and Syria, just as this one dude has been saying... as being a necessity. Which guy? Well, lets see who gets it coming November.

decent movie. informative. interesting argument regarding Obama's motives; it certainly provides a context in which to understand his worldview... not sure i buy into the whole thing but definitely worth watching and pondering.
although i don't understand why you can't be against colonialism and still care about your country. i think what he (Obama) said about Hawaii, for example, was on target.
i am very disillusioned with him and don't think he has been a very effective president, but i personally don't believe he has any kind of hidden agenda to bring America down. nonetheless... to see that his views were influenced and shaped by not a few America bashers is a little disheartening.

This film is nothing short of a continued ploy by the Republican Party to paint President Obama as an unAmerican, uncaring, foreigner, trying to take the country and give it to some other people.

A must see for every voter this election. This is I think the most important election ever. So much is riding on this election. This movie is based on facts that Barack Obama himself wrote in his book. The Author of the movie pairs those facts with many of the actions that Barack Obama has taken in his Presidency so far and explores his plans if reelected. Those thoughts, ideologies and actions and the direction that he plans to take the country are shocking, frightening and the America we know and love will never be the same if he gets to exercise his beliefs. I challenge everyone to see the movie and then decide how you feel about the present President of the United States. Make your decision on how you are going to vote after you see who Barack Obama really is and with the movie as a back drop seriously look at where our country is right now and where it came from under Barack's leadership. The movie is a real eye opener and it delves into the reasons behind the personality and motives of our current President.

I saw the movie “2016” this weekend. I found myself in a conflict where I did not expect to be as to my opinion being a staunch Constitutional Conservative.
Let me start by saying, this movie is for all American’s intending to vote this November. Furthermore, it is by no means a hit piece hatchet job on Obama; however, it does chronologically define his mindset, radical way of thinking, and how he came to that end.
I found myself being somewhat surprisingly sympathetic to countries that have been historically colonialized; however, African colonialization was by that of Great Britain, not the United States. That is essentially, what the beginning of this movie was about, inclusive of Obama’s radical black activist teachings and upbringing. Folks, these were merely the indisputable facts.
The movie brilliantly travels through Obama’s childhood to his present day as President of The United States, the unknown candidate. Throughout the movie, it is revealed as to whom Obama was mentored by; Frank Marshall Davis, a Communist Party Propagandist on the FBI watch list. Davis lived in Hawaii where he began mentoring Obama as a youth, where his mentoring continued in Chicago with Obama as an adult. This is in addition to the many other communist bent radicals in his life. This also reflects on his present day surroundings in the White House such as Valerie Jarrett and David Axelrod, and many others.
For those interested, let me define my personal thoughts on the movie; and believe me, I am being both fair minded and objective regarding the following opinions. The movie actually caused me to opine just that way.
As stated, colonialism is a difficult scenario to not feel some degree of sympathy toward colonized less advanced third world countries. That aside, what Obama is clearly attempting to do to the United States in the name of global reparations as a result of past colonialization is despicable at best.
Actually, I am not sure how to calculate how correct I was, to what extent. The simple fact is that Obama is attempting to globally redistribute our wealth that he feels has been ill gotten through colonialism. Destroy America’s wealth by means of redistributing it to foreign interests that mainly goes to third world warlords and third world nations with the same communistic aspirations.
I know there are those of you who will immediately pass judgment as this being a hit piece on Obama, without even seeing this movie; however, it truly is not. What it is, a documentary that is produced by the same person who produced Shindler’s List. It is both fair and well done and exhaustively researched. The movie actually gave me a slightly different perspective, at the same time caused me to truly fear more so than ever before for the future of my country.
Please go see the movie in so that you can make your own informed opinion. More importantly, take your teenage children. Don’t bury your head in the sand to only emerge in November to pull the lever for who your union tells you to pull it for; “THINK FOR YOURSELF”………… Make an informed independent decision, not what some propagandist TV commercial (either side) tells you to do.

I was a bit worried this documentary would be mostly propaganda, but that fear was unfounded. A good bit of the film is Pres Obama narrating his own book, Dreams From My Father. Dinesh D'Souza does an excellent job demonstrating the parallels and differences between his own and Pres Obama's (very comparable) life experiences and (very different) attitudes/priorities. The film is very much fact-based; any speculation is clearly identified as such.
Interviews with and quotes from friends & family of Pres Obama, and experts such as Daniel Pipes (Middle East Forum) and former David Walker (former US Comptroller General), provided thought-provoking and insightful commentary.
All American voters should see this movie to gain a much deeper understanding of the motivations of Pres Obama. D'Souza's theory goes a long way toward explaining many of the otherwise inexplicable actions and policies of the current President.

This movie is an honest investigation into who President Obama really is based on his childhood, parents, and mentors. This is the story that the media didn't want to tell due to a myopic desire to get him elected. The phrase, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." is an appropriate way to look at Obama's reelection effort. It's time to open our eyes and see the beautiful looking man for who he really is. Go see the movie.

The best documentary I have ever seen. It is factual without expressing negative, vulgar material about the subject. Dinesh puts all the facts together in a concise and informative manner and then let's the viewers make up their own minds. Every voting American needs to see this!....especially our politicians in DC!

I sat thru the complete 1 hour and 29 min's and felt like i needed to see it again. The analogy by Mr. D'Souza was quite extrodinary. I have recommended this to 8 people already and my statement is" I think it is un-important if you are for or against Obama. I think it is important that you see the facts and the background that is presented in the movie."
The Visual's and Story could not have been better to see what the living conditions are versus what america has.
The summary was a message to all americans and they should make a decision as to what type of america they want.

The tag line was correct. Love him, hate him....you don't know him. Every American, regardless of political philosophy should see this film. I am going to see it again and take some friends....
I would have preferred the music to have been toned down, it was a bit distracting.
