I think everyone that is thinking of voting for Obama should see this. I never trusted him from 2008 with the lack of information on his background. The media tended to ignore it and were in awe of him. This will definitely open some eyes!

I think The Documentary was accurate.
I got the feel that only we Reps were there. . I wish that everyone regardless of our diversities would watch this movie with an open mind. We have progessed farbeyond the Jim Crow era and only want what is best for our families,cities and Country. We can do this w/o the influence of anti-colonialism radicals, muslim rads, commies, marxists, or anyother rad's.
I most likely would vote for Obama in Nov., if he had been successful in "change for the better" instead of trying to destroy our great system and replacing it with "Dreams From my Father" ideals.
My fear is that most of those who put him in office in 08 will not change their minds. MAY God/Christ help America!

An introduction to the man we should have seen 4 years ago. It is a serious look at Obama's life through interviews with people who personally know Obama, his parents, and his grandparents. I am no more in favor of his policies, but I do now know how his ideas were formed. Very well done documentary.

This is an excellent factual documentary. Every American should see this before they vote in November. It frightenes me to think what the USA will be like if Obama is re-elected. We MUST do all we can to be sure this doesn't happen. See this movie and tell your friends about it. I understand people in high places are trying to prevent this movie from being shown! This movie is very revealing of how Obama was raised, and how his early years formed him. It is very insightful, you can see exactly why he is doing things the way he is doing them. I am convinced that these insights are correct because the evidence of his actions proves it. This is extremely chilling, if he gets another term as President I fear that our Country as we know it will doomed to third world status or worse. Frightening!

I spent last night fact checking this movie and found everything quoted true. The fact that people did not know Obama when they elected him in 2008 is chilling. His roots are not American. His beliefs are not in America. He does not identify with any of the values upon which this country was founded.

Watch this movie and you will understand why he has done what he has done for the past 4 years and realize what could happen if he were to have 4 more years. His off camera comment to the Russian President was not a slip. It was a glimpse of his true beliefs. So was his statement on "you did not build it" . If he allowed to contue to change America - we have no hope.

Very little is known in the US about the Colonial system. Most of us knew that the British, French, Spanish and Dutch had colonies around the globe, but we never felt as though America was the big 'global colonizer.' In the Middle East, much of Africa and Asia, however, America has now taken over that role in their minds. They feel as though America is the country that continues to take resources from poor countries for our own benefit and profit; that America is successful largely due to their suffering.

Obama lived this experience vis-a-vis his mother, who was raised in Lebanon and married a man from Kenya. Kenya had been a British colony and Obama's father viewed America and 'the West' as the occupiers who had somehow ruined his country and the rest of the third world. Obama was schooled in this way of thinking by his mother and her friends, who were known radical communists of the time. We were never allowed any information about Obama and his associates prior to running for president. His formative years he was surrounded by anti-American characters, communists and even his spiritual mentor Reverend Wright was brought out only briefly through the media and he was quickly silenced by the Obama political machine.

America deserves to know the plans that our leaders have for our country, and this film exposes the motivation and thought processes that are behind Obama's policies and actions. I took my teenage children to see this movie so they could learn how much of the world views America - as Obama does, an evil colonizer robbing the poor of their valuable resources making the US responsible for the failures of so many countries around the world. I feel that it is high time that his political affiliations are finally brought to light and that America be educated on this colonial system that although is an antiquated concept, continues to be a driving force for many revolutionary movements throughout the Middle East and Africa. This is a must see movie for anyone living in America. It should be shown to all children in the schools, as it demonstrates what the world view is of America - that most of us never see.

The timelines seemed to put everything into prospective. There was definitely a subliminal message being presented. Information of Obama's past, where he came from and who he wants to be is very defined. Interesting how his Father had so many wives and children without it ever causing issues with legal entery into the USA. I would like to have been a little more convinced that Obama had such a horrible childhood, where he went to school, how he was able to pay for college in the USA, and how did he get into Illinois state office without anyone ever really hearing anything about this man.

Highly informative. The narrator/author touched on the most significant aspects of Obama's background in his search for clues explaining why this man, unlike all of his predecessors appears to genuinely and viscerally dislike America and its institutions. By using Obama's own words and his own writings, Obama emerges as a sort of "Manchurian Candidate", someone whose self-appointed mission is to cut America down to size, seeing this Country as the THE problem in the world, a colonialist, imperialist malignancy that will be made to pay for its evil ways. The tone throughout was respectful and thoughtful, not strident or angry or in-your-face.
Anyone thinking of voting for Obama this year would be well served to avail himself of this information which was purposefully kept from voters by the "mainstream media during the last election. At least the voter will know what he is voting for.
Saw it twice and would see it again.

Denesh D'Souza hit another homerun. The documentary should be seen by everyone even considering voting for Obama. It leaves little room for doubt by using Mr. Obama's own words and the testimony of those who know him to draw it's conclusions.

I didn't see any speculation or truth stretching. I certainly did not know about Mr. Obama's past.

This movie does not question Mr. Obama's Hawaiian birth but instead it firmly asserts it by reporting the two separate newspaper birth announcements.

I believe that anyone who is even "thinking" of voting for Barak Obama this year should be required to view this movie first. I truly wish it was available on DVD before the election because I would buy several copies and give them as gifts to those few people I know who voted for him in the last election. It takes someone who was not native to this country to recognize what is happening here and I thank him for having the courage to do this movie. Some of the most interesting insights I've gotten into what the United States is all about have come from immigrants - people from other countries who chose to become Americans. And this movie, which was made by an immigrant from India, is no exception. You will hear what people in other parts of the world think of the U.S., and you will find that it varies depending on where they live. Whether you agree with his conclusions or not, I suspect you will find the movie interesting.

That I cannot recall a serious documentary film made about a president who was still in office at the time of the film’s release, at least not a film with a wide theatrical release (can we count the propaganda laden Fahrenheit 9/11?), speaks volumes about this film’s importance. That no president that I have ever studied in school has been shrouded in so much mystery and controversy speaks volumes about the legitimacy of a documentary investigating who he is and what he has come from. 2016: Obama’s America explores the history and influences of our current president Barack Obama, from as much an objective standpoint as I think one could take without simply saying nothing. While lacking the flashiness and polish of a Michael Moore film, director Dinesh D’Souza wisely goes straight for the facts, tossing aside all the propaganda, assumptions, theories and pretty motion graphics of more famous documentarians. How can I say “fact”? How do I know? Because much of the film explores the writings and quotes and interviews from Obama himself. It’s straight from the horse’s mouth. Much of it is alarming, I don’t know how it could be seen any other way by anyone who loves this country. Much of it also puts away petty arguments about things that don’t really matter when it’s all said and done. D’Souza affirms that Obama was born in Hawaii, which I’m sure will anger some people. But there are bigger issues at stake in this film, which is about our very real state of affairs here in the United States of America. While it does naturally take a partisan stance, it is as objective as documentaries get, and should be seen by all. And if box office numbers mean anything, it is being seen by quite a few (it posted Top Ten numbers for this past weekend, and only projects to grow to more and more theaters). The film’s tag-line, “Love him or hate him, you don’t know him” could very well be the complete review for this film.

I wonder if many know how to read newspapers and think. Or even if they recall who started two wars based upon lies (Bush, just to refresh your memory) and who crashed the world-wide economy after eight years of tax cuts (Bush policies).

This film boldly rewrites the facts and counts upon ignorance and racism to influence the election. It falsely paints Obama as a Islam-loving, anti-colonialist who wants to turn the US into a Third-world country.
