It is way up there. Probably at the rating level of "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert". May not win an Oscar, but you will remember the film over time. I learned a couple of things about the Aborigenes. Go see it!

Loved the retro soul music and The Sapphires sang the classic soul fervently!!! Educates the audience about the Aborigines in Australia and their bleak history of abuse that persisted until the 1970s. Portrays an amazing story with a sweet ending.

A little gem of a movie. Tackles difficult subjects with grace and in some cases humor. Chris O'Dowd gives an amazing performance. A sweetheart in Bridesmaids, he gives a much more nuanced performance. Deborah Mailman gives a strong performance as well.
Thoroughly enjoyed and will recommend to all I know.
