Outstanding movie - kept me guessing until half way through when I began to suspect the murders as having committed murder intentionally and was thoroughly engrossed .

This was a great movie. I'm not sure why some people were bored. My husband and I both loved this with the twists you don't see coming. The actors were all great! Unbelievable? Perhaps, but then I don't go to the movies for reality. I go to get away.

Jude Law carries the weight of this movie on his shoulders as this medical suspense film explores the ins and outs of the relationship between the pharmaceutical industry and mental illness evaluators.
The film is well paced, with several twists and turns along the way. As a result, the depth of the female roles aren't developed in order to keep you guessing on their character.
All in all, this movie works. I came away feeling though that many opportunities were missed to go deeper into the characters and the relationship between pharmaceuticals and medical providers. Even the concluding scenes left me thinking that a director in the background had a stop watch and said "ok we're at 100 minutes, let's wrap this up" and the ending was quickly tied up.
Pros well paced, holds viewer interest
Cons missed character development opportunity

I should start off by saying the less you know about this movie the better. I did like this flick overall, but one flaw tarnished the mostly clever story for me. In an effort to wrap up the movie, the choice was made to take the easy way out instead of imagining how the lead actress might have approached her conundrum more consistently with the personality she had displayed up to that point. In other words, I feel like the writer/director ended the picture in a lazy way instead of thinking through how the characters would have truly reacted. Other than this one point, the film held my attention though more in the second half than the first.

Cons slow, unbelievable

Like other reviews, I agree this movie keeps taking you in a seemingly new direction as it progresses. A good story because it is not predictable, but it is not contrived. Cast was good, too. It is hard to follow at times, but I walked out with no questions about the plot. It was also refreshing to watch a movie that doesn't drag for 2 1/2 hours. This one, at 1:46, was a perfect length. I tend to enjoy action/sci-fi blockbusters in the theater. This isn't worth the big screen price; I'd rent it at home. Still, a very good movie; worth seeing.
