Movie is obfuscated and ridiculous, there is no plot or story line but there is a lot of blood and gore. The trailer depicted this movie as a comedy but it comes out like scrambled eggs for a brain with homicidal bent. It really does not deserve 1 star and anyone recommending this movie or giving it more than one star is an idiot!
Cons stupid scrambled no plot no story line idiotic

I was expecting Christopher Walken to be his usual off the wall original self. I was delighted to find a cast of great actors who had a perfect script for character building and always surprising plot twists.
This one exceeded my expectations for interesting and amusing. It will not be ideal for conventional audiences looking for light family fare.
That made it perfect for me and my family.
Pros great story, great actors

Christopher Walken was the driver for me to see this movie, he did not disappoint; as well as other cast members. Early in the move I wondered where the plot line was going and then the Jack of Diamonds would pop out and as quickly disappear (what's with that?). My husband commented that the format reminded him of Pulp Fiction. So if you're a fan of that genre then you will like this movie; if not you may not.
Pros great actors
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Simply put - if I can't get lost in a movie, it's not doing it's job. Colin Farrell was a having a hard time acting in this one. The rest of the cast did a pretty good job - but the film just lurched along...

This movie from beginning to end kept me either laughing or completely interested in the story. The relationship between the three guys was both disturbing and heart warming but you could tell it was real friendship. The humor was unassuming and came from no where sometimes. Christopher Walken was awesome and Sam Cook was amazing.
I highly recommend this movie to anyone. I loved it

I love movies that blow away any sense of expectation. Pun intended.
It's like watching a movie w child mind. The normal framework you usually plunk plot lines or characters on is gone, which frees the imagination to wander and wonder. Exercises a muscle which is all too often not in use when you go to the movies. The highlight is what the characters discuss amidst the chaos - so unexpected and so interesting you have to not just listen, but really hear.
That said, this is an imperfect movie. Definitely warrants a re-viewing. I came out of the theater saying, "That was either brilliant or peyote-driven." My friends concurred. I admired "In Bruges," so I had expectations of both a great script and over the top violence which may be cartoonish but still makes me cover my eyes. The difference is that "In Bruges" seemed a simpler storyline or maybe it was just told more simply. "7Psych" has so many elements coming at you it was like playing Whack-a-Mole with the point.
But that was a first viewing. I have a feeling on second and subsequent viewings, the point will seem clear from Marty's first words about the kind of story he wanted to write.
Really, all you need to know is that Christopher Walken is at play here. At once silly, then sardonic, then serious. When he takes Billie's face in his hands, you have NO IDEA where that is going to go. It's only afterwards that you realize your heart has stopped. How many actors or scenes can do that with a moment of stillness?
This is not to take away from Sam Rockwell, who is brilliant. Or Colin Ferrell, who is terrific. Or Tom Waits who is ...Tom Waits...a national treasure. He crystalizes the heart of the film for me. And gives Marty the ending he wanted all along.
Pros great actors, christopher walken, great and unexpected dialogue, good story
Cons story not as tight as in bruges, violence too graphic
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Saturday night movie decision: I say Argo, he says 7 Psychopaths. He wins. it looks interesting if nothing else and I can't say I wouldn't mind looking at Collin Farrell for a while...
I went in with little expectations and was surprised at how entertained I was! It is a comedy, not all of the jokes are glaringly obvious and that's what makes the movie stand out. Its funny without trying too hard. There were even a handful of times I wasn't sure if I was supposed to laugh... but I did!
Christopher Walken & Sam Rockwell are brilliant.
The special effects are not great but they work since this film is about the story, not covering up a crap script with wowing shoot outs & explosions.
Go see this movie, these weirdos are relatable at times and totally nuts at others. A job well done.
Pros great story, great actors
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I knew from the opening scene with the two mobsters constant swearing and violent talk that this was not going to be a comedy. The movie went on to display more constant violence, constant swearing and pretty bad acting. It was so bad that my friend and I walked out midway through.
Hollywood just doesn't get it anymore! They are consumed with violence and low life dialogue. Whatever happened to real comedy and inspirational movies?

What movie junkie out there wouldn't leap at the chance to see merry pranksters such as Christopher Walken, Sam Rockwell and Woody Harrelson go nuts in something called Seven Psychopaths? It's crazy-killer fun. Here is a motion picture that proudly bends genre conventions and follows a multilayered narrative not quite like any other viewers will have seen. Seven Psychopaths is refreshingly unorthodox on the level of The Big Lebowski, mixing clever film-about-film elements with dialogue that McDonagh crafted with care. A must see.

I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this movie. I saw Colin Farrell on a late night talk show and he said it was made by the same director who he worked with on “IN BRUGES” back in 2008.
Seven Psychopaths poster
That was a strange movie, to say the least, but it was good and unpredictable. That’s what this movie is like too. Colin Farrell stars as Marty, which not coincidentally is the name of the writer/director of the movie. “SEVEN PSYCHOPATHS” is about a screenwriter who is trying to write his newest movie which is called “Seven Psychopaths”.
It would be difficult to give you any more of the plot of the movie without giving it all away, but this tongue-in-cheek dramedy also stars Woody Harrelson, Christopher Walken, Gabourey Sidibe, Abbie Cornish, and Sam Rockwell. Essentially, the storyline follows a gang of dog-nappers who nab canines when their owners aren’t paying attention, and then return them to collect the rewards offered for the lost dogs. They make the mistake of stealing the dog of a mob boss played by Harrelson, and he goes after them with his gang to get his dog back. Christopher Walken gives a stellar performance as an older guy who is just trying to take care of his wife who has been diagnosed with cancer, without insurance.
Just to warn you, there is quite a bit of blood and violence with lots of people getting killed, but what else would you expect from a bunch of psychopaths?
Don’t jump up and run out when the credits start to roll, or you’ll be sorry! “SEVEN PSYCHOPATHS” hits theaters on Friday, October 12.
Pros great story, great actors
Yes, I recommend this movie.
