Woody Allen’s latest film, “To Rome With Love”, may be a companion piece to his wonderful “Midnight in Paris”, having a style and approach similar to the earlier Oscar-winner. Unfortunately, in Rome we’re bogged down by four unrelated stories with characters that are charming, but mostly never explored to their full potential. And with many of the scenes taking place indoors, I never found myself being transported to the titular city as I was so completely with “Midnight”. I will give props to Alec Baldwin, Penelope Cruz, and Ellen Page for some fine acting and comedic timing, and double-props to Woody for still being able to dead-pan like no other. I hate to compare films, but when your opening title sequence uses the same style and font as the last one you made, can you expect me not to? This one could have been great, but its production value and style suggested it may have been rushed.

After seeing negative reviews, we went anyway. I wanted something light and frothy and I got it. Wonderful summer movie. I laughed out loud at the situations only Woody Allen could create. And I don't often find movies that make me laugh. It was wonderful to see Woody again creating his signature bumbling character that is oh so funny still. Thanks Woody.

This a Classic Woody Allen at his best as a writer, director and actor. The entire cast of actors and actresses fit right in as the story moves from friend, families and situations in a creative way. Awesome, spectacular, hillarious. A MUST SEE movie. Don't blink because you could miss one of the many great punchlines. A Real Enjoyable Movie in an Era when most of Hollywood creations are junk or trash!! We are going to see it again!

Lighthearted, fun, funny movie with incredible photography of Rome. A humerous look at love and sexual attraction between Italians and Americans visiting Rome. Captured the spirit of Italians and Rome. Great cast; Woody should appear in all of his films - he had the funniest lines. Alec Baldwin, in a limited role, was a stand out, as was Penelope Cruz.
Pros great story, great actors, woody should appear in all of his movies!

I'm glad I went to see it, but it I've seen much better from Woody Allen. I chuckled alot and the setting was wonderful. The plot was interesting and the actors were good. I would recommend it because it's Woody Allen and it's Rome, but if those 2 things don't excite you, wait for it on video.

The setting was perfect in Roma. The music sets the tone immediately for the film as all Woody Allen's films do. It was a cinematographic
vacation to Rome. Took me back to my first trip 45 years ago.
It had laugh out loud moments due to some of the absurdity of the situations.. It was light and fun and we need more films like this. It's a no brainer.
Pros well paced, great actors, laughed a lot
Cons alec baldwin was stiff in his acting.
