What a clever title, right?, yeah just kidding, sorry. The movie was alright, but it isn't worth watching and isn't going to be a movie that you will remember of 2013, or even of February of 2013, unless the series picks up or something. I thought the dialogue was excellent, surprisingly. The acting was fine, the two leads I was actually pretty impressed with and you might see them in a few movies down the road. The movie started out with a very heavy southern accent, and I can't tell if they toned it down or if I just got used to it, but as the movie played out it wasn't that much of a factor of my dislikes for this movie. Now I thought as many of you have thought, probably, that this was going to be another replacement of the finale of twilight last year, it is, but it isn't as well. Now don't get me wrong this movie wasn't terribly bad, it was alright, in fact I enjoyed it's high school setting, and atmosphere, for the most part. By the way, this doesn't matter but there is no way he is only a junior. Anyways, who knows, you may like this movie, but I did have some problems with it, and I am telling you it isn't worth to see in the theaters, but if have an interest for this film you may enjoy it for a weekend rent movie. So overall, it isn't a movie you will buy and store in your collection for the rest of your life and show every grandchild that you have to, but depending on who you are you may find it an enjoyable watch, it was a pretty good movie, but not quite good, and, honestly, will probably be forgotten. I don't want to totally bash on it, though, but I'm done.

So disappointed! Now I know movies can't be exactly like the movies, well they can, but producers don't normally do that, but this movie strayed way too far from the book fro me. Maybe if I haven't read the book, the movie might have been better, but its BASED off of the book, they should have tried harder to stay with the book. They completely left people out and changed the entire story. They changed simple things that could have easily been left alone. I have no idea how they could possibly create a sequel. Very disappointed, this book series could have been "The next great thing". It would have made a ton of money if they would have just stayed with the book.

I have been looking forward to this moving for weeks, but found the film to be a very disappointing experience. For fans of the books, be aware that there are LOTS of major changes in this film that, in my opinion, had seriously detracted from the story in the book. There were several scenes that should have been included in the film that weren't. And, the story in the movie by far did not do this great book justice. The actors were good...the actor and actress who played Ethan and Lena were very good, the gentleman who played Macon was also good but his accent was way overdone and sounded very fake to me (I live in the South). I left the cinema feeling as if my husband and I had wasted our money. Also, this film felt very rushed...but, I do understand that they had to crunch a 563 page book into a 2 hour, 12 minute movie. If the second book, "Beautiful Darkness" shows up on film in the theaters I do not plan to waste my money on tickets to see it, as I already expect that it will vastly deviate from the original story just like "Beautiful Creatures" did. I would love to ask the film director and producers to please answer these questions: What happened with Lena's hair?...it should have been black hair. And, her car should have been Macon's hearse. Also, I would love to know how in the movie Macon could go outside in daylight....hmmm. Where was Ethan's dad and Marian? What happened to the storyline surround the Snow Dance at school??? Where was the scene where Ethan went into his dad's study and figured out the message his late Mom left for him? Where was the song "Sixteen moons" that had been building itself from the beginning of the book to the end? Don't waste your money on this film.

I've never heard of the Castor Chronicle before and I've only seen the trailer to this movie last week but it looked so interesting that my husband and I had to watch it. It is a great movie! It is romantic, funny, witty and suspenseful. I don't think I've heard of either the main actor or actress before but they were both great and very captivating. I think the cast is great and I think the dialogue is very clever. It had a lot of really good quotes too. After watching this movie, I want to read the books now so I know what happens next.... I can't wait for the other movies!!!

The movie overall was pretty good the only problem is I have read all 4 books and it didn't follow the first one. They cut out a few major things, a few characters and the character descriptions were off. I love the books SO much I'm just hoping if they do a second they can do more things in the book.

This was a bit too much of a deviation from the book for my taste. It was good and you will enjoy it more if you have read the book prior to seeing. If you are from the south, the lead character's accents will be a distraction as they are a bit off and the word usage isn't quite right for that dialect.

This movie was so far off from the book it might as well have a different title. The deleted main characters and ruined the plot of the whole series. Don't waste your time watching this frustrating movie . They cut all the exciting parts of the book out . It's a snore fest that sucks. Please learn from my mistake and don't upset yourself by seeing this poor interpratation of a great book.

Movie is slow and dark! Quite a disappointment. I thought this would be something along the lines of Twilight or Harry Potter but it lacks everything that is essential to a timeless classic. We ended up leaving mid-way through. We kept hoping it would get better. Sadly it did NOT! Save your money!

We went in expecting more action (they always show the best scenes on TV commercials), and were a bit disappointed to find its more of a teenage love story with very few action scenes. Good story tho, the actors were good, real and down to earth (not your typical gorgeous girl and hunky boyfriend, which was a nice change)

Overall, the movie was a great compliment to the book, written by authors Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, and the first book in the Caster Chronicles series.
The Directors could not have picked a great cast, both new and old, to represent the characters of this novel series, brought to the big screen.
Filled with suspense, wit and humor throughout, complimented with fantastic graphics... This movie was worth seeing and I would recommend all, who read this to go and see it... You won't be disappointed.....
Make sure you buy your tickets online through movie tickets.com (it was my first time using them and my Valentine's Date went, impressively, without a hitch bypassing the long line to see this movie)

For the most part it was everything I imagined. The actors were great, it was like they were plucked directly from the book. My two biggest problems with the movie are 1. The whole entire father storyline does not happen. 2. Marian was removed from the movie. That really made me mad because she was a keeper of the information and cannot get involved with either side. She was a vital person in the series and should have not been "combined" with Amma. I hope that if they do another movie, they actually get someone to play the part of Marian. Other then that I think the movie fit perfectly.
