This was just a decent movie about the passage of time. Lots of subplots, most not explored enough to make the movie unnecessarily complex. You'll probably be disappointed if you expect anything like Field of Dreams, but you'll leave the theatre with a sense that the right folks came out all right in the end.
Pros well paced, great story

Even as an old man refusing to accept his limitations and anything modern, Clint still knows how to act like few others, and is well suited playing Amy Adams' distant Dad. Its a sweet interesting father daughter baseball film. The story is about a crotchety Dad with a good heart trying to repair the mistakes he has made in trying to raise a daughter on his own after the death of his wife. Clint plays a scout losing his sight. Amy plays an intense lawyer who would much prefer being with her Dad in a baseball stadium if he would only let her. Enter Justin Timberlake as the love interest and the chemistry is ready to bond. The acting is good although the story is on the light side and always predictable. Though not a classic, its well worth seeing.

A little slow, a little predictable, and a little boring. Weak dialogue, but good performance from Clint and Amy Adams. Seems like there was no chemistry between Amy Adams and Justin Timberlake. The story has some holes, including - what is the point of the charging horse??
I wans not impressed, and think most people could easily wait until this is out on cable. The scenery is very beautiful, but that is not enough to sustain me for two hours.

A movie filled with a relationships that will touch you at a personal level! Haven't really seen much of Timberlake's work in the acting arena but am pleasantly surprised at his ability to keep up with the big dogs!

Clint Eastwood is fantastic in this movie, along with Amy Adams and Justin Timberlake. It was also good to see John Goodman in a movie again. The story was very good with a very happy ending.
One thing I noticed was there were a lot of "empty chairs" in the stands at the ballpark, but then that was during the try outs by the conceited batter and the unknown pitcher ;-)

As always Clint Eastwood delivers in this movie. Amy Adams and believe it or not Justin Timberlake did great as well. Good story line and very touching.
