I honestly don't know how action movies can get any better than this. Seeing it in IMAX was just WOW. It had a great story with satisfying character arcs and lots of humor. The action, special effects, and sound will carry you along like a tsunami. I'm afraid I've been spoiled for all other movies after this, so it's a good thing that someone will probably find a way to outdo this... if ever. LOVED watching the Hulk smash.

I don't normally do this.... but this was PERFECT! I have a new favorite movie. There was no HUGE hype. They didn't over market this but they did OVER DELIVER! The movie is great. I will not give out any spoilers but I can tell you it is exciting, action packed, story driven, charming, even romantic, hilarious, uhmmmm yeah.
Bottom line. Best movie ever. No kidding. They pitch that their could be more in the series. I honestly don't think that anything could ever beat this. I believe the best movie of all time was created and will never be achieved again.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, everything
Cons nothing, ok make the movie 6 hrs instead of 2.5?

I have waited for over 18 months for "Marvels' The Avengers"...the wait is over and they are here!!
The movie does not disappoint! There is a really good storyline, a meaningful plot and there is nothing typical about this first installment.
Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) heads up S.H.I.E.L.D which is an international peace keeping agency. Something goes terribly wrong with an experience that the agency is doing. This experience brings "Loki" (Tom Hiddleston) who is "Thor's" (Chris Hemsworth) adopted brother from another planet. "Loki" wants to rule the world, but S.H.I.E.L.D can't allow that. Nick Fury makes several distress calls to assemble "The Avengers". After everyone has been located the fun really starts...
"Marvels' The Avengers" is action packed, edge of your seat thrills. It's a wild adventurous ride. There is some nice cinematography. It's a bit long at 2 hours 23 minutes but well worth it. Definitely a must see in IMAX 3D. Excellent start to a new movie franchise. If you are a fan of Marvel Comics this is your movie!!

Gotta see this movie. Its epic, mind-blowing and hilarious from beginning to end. Hulk's performance was outstanding. Gotta see it in Imax 3D. Don't forget to stay for the after credit scenes for the next movie clue.

I had extremely high expectations for this film, as it dealt with some of my favourite superheroes and was written and directed by Joss Whedon. This film blew those expectations out of the water. It was fantastic.

After years and several movies leading up to this one, the Avengers movie did not fall short. Very well crafted artistically and the actors performance was amazing. The balance of the Superheroes was maintained well, so regardless of who is your favorite, there's enough screen-time. All hardcore Marvel fans and novices alike can enjoy this movie experience.

I gave this movie four stars. If the rating allowed half stars my rating would be 4.5 stars. If this is your type of movie, my recommendation is to see this movie at the theatre in IMAX 3D if possible. The effects are blockbuster-esque and the use of the 3-D format is awesome. Avengers is part movie and part theme park ride. Unless you are George Lucas, the home theatre experience will pale in comparison.
Why not five stars you say? Well, some parts of the movie were drawn out. I understand the need to setup the characters, plot, etc. However, some of this setup took away from the roller coaster ride parts of the movie. The movie is a roller coaster ride with a couple of stops along the way. Don't get me wrong, the movie is well worth the price of admission. My kids and I had a great time.

The Avengers did not disappoint and at 3 o'clock in the morning, our carload of Super Nerds never ran out of quotes or favorite scenes from this FANTASTIC film!
Super Villian Loki evoked a response on screen (and off) that literally shook the entire theatre! This guy was THE perfect antagonist for this Super Hero extravaganza and when he bellows "I am a God!", he delivers to us EVERYTHING we could want to see in this film and more. The entire SOLD-OUT audience roared before, during and after this 2 hour and 20 minute Super Adventure and, honestly, if there would have been another line to get in at 3:00am, we ALL would have ran to get in it! Absolutely AWESOME!!
Also, Mark Ruffalo surprised the hell outta me as David Banner/The Hulk. Without a doubt, BEST HULK EVER!! And I am ecstatic to have learned that he will reprise the role SIX MORE TIMES!! Woo Hoo!!!

I am a huge fan of the franchise and was worried when rumors of this movie started to circulate. However, after viewing the end product, I needn't have worried! Action packed, funny with a fantastic story line! This is the way a super hero movie should be made. I will see it again and again. The IMAX 3D experience only accentuated the finer points of this flick. Don't miss it!

Definitely a must see movie. They catch up with all the characters stories, The plot was very entertaining and the effects mind blowing.
Intense, funny and at some point dramatic. Within the personal choices of each hero and the better good.
