I loved everything about this movie. Wonderful acting. Witty dialogue. Extremely exciting action scenes. I was sad when it was over. I know already that when this becomes available on DVD I will be buying it. Two thumbs way, way, way up!

The Avengers was an awesome movie. The storyline was great. The action spectacular. It had funny moments too. Overall the movie was just great! I would definitely go see this ten more times and yes I will buy it on blu-ray! I watched it in IMAX 3D which is definitely the way to go. Oh don't leave until you watched the bonus scene after the credits start, it had everyone in the theater yelling in excitement!!!

I don't usually give 5 stars,but this entertaining, funnyq and action-packed flick is worth every bit 5 stars. Excellent character development where each character gets good and well-used screen time. Family-friendly, except for minor words heard commonly on television, even some non-demeaning references to God Himself. The Hulk looks great as CGI, and they Did a fantastic job making Hulk look like actor Mark Ruffalo. While the Hulk has the 2 of the funniest moments in the film, I still wish they would make him talk more like in the comics. This can add to the comedic relief as well. Comic book fans will appreciate some of the nuances of the relationship between Cap and Iron Man, but you don't have to know anything about the conmics to enjoy the movie. Spoiler Alert: Stay tuned at the end for not one, but two Easter eggs. Only fans of the comics will understand the first one (it's Thanos!). The second is just downright hilarious (and my son informed me the just filmed the second egg two weeks before international release!) The Avngers is an extremely entertaining Summer flick and is certain to break some box office records.

Incredible!! Awesome Movie!! I loved it, cannot wait to see it again!! The acting was superb. There was so much action, drama, thrills, comedy, just had everything. I wondered how they would bring all the superheroes together, but it worked out perfectly. Been waiting a long time to see this movie! Saw Iron Man 1 and 2, Thor and Captain America (all which were great), and couldnt wait for the Avengers! This is a must see for the entire family!! Even the Villian was a great Villian!!lol.. We came late ( really 15 minutes earlier than the starting time) and seated on the third row and I thought it's gonna be horrible. Wrong,! It was AWESOME!, it felt like I was another Avenger. The movie was great, acting was good except for some little jokes out of context but in general we had an excellent time!

I have been looking forward to this movie from the time that the mOvie was announced to be in production. Last summer was grueling after Captain America and Thor waiting and anticipating. Normally when I hype myself that much I walk away from the movie disappointed with what I just watched. Definately not on this gem. The character interaction was amazing, was not expecting the humorous one liners from anyone other than Tony Stark, but everyone got their zingers in. I particularly enjoyed two specific moments with The Hulk. I won't gove it away here, but when you see them, you'll know which scenes they are. (both reminded me of something directly from a Loony Toons cartoon) :). The final battle scene just kept going, and going, and going. And not once did I get tired of the battle and wonder when we were just gonna get to the end. Gonna go back and catch all the little things that I missed the first time around. Think I'll order a Schwarma sandwich and enjoy the show again!!!

The Avengers was totally, amazingly, over the top, kick-ass AWESOME!!!!! What a great time!!!! It was so worth it to see it in iMax 3-D!!! If you try to nit-pick and intellectualize this movie, you need to get over yourself and get a life because this was a 2 hour and 20 minute adrenaline rush, thrill ride with some heart and a sprinkle of humor thrown in!!!

Went to opening night of the Avengers IMAX 3D in Pensacola... it lived up to its advance hype! From the first moment to the last credits... it kept me riveted to my seat and thoroughly immersed in the experience! I'm glad I listened to my instincts and pre-purchased through Movietickets.com... by the time I got to the theatre... the show was sold out for the entire evening! You'll be cheering, laughing, challenged, and excited for a sequel! By all means, see this show!!

I would first of all state that I have never felt the need to rate a movie before. But then more great action again I have never felt the euphoric blissful rush I received from watching this movie (except when I went to the movies for the first time and watched Return of the Jedi. The story line cheated because it built up the cube story line in other series. The action started out great and just when you thought you were at the climax, you got more great action! It is the best movie I have ever seen!
Pros well paced, great story, great actors

Agree with other reviews. Action-packed without seeming cheesy or over-the-top. Very funny without being seeming like a comedy. Subtle details for the fanboys without losing anyone who's been under a rock. Usually, a movie with multiple heroes is plagued by great disparity in talent. While Downey Jr. certainly had the best sarcasm/one liners, all the actors were well represented by the script. I would see it again if I had the time. There are two post-movie scenes: one before credits and one after. I had to look the movie up on Wikipedia to discover what the first one was about.

Cons nits are so minor they don't deserve mentioning

I was anticipating this movie for quite some time. Before seeing it, I read a few early reviews, which had the critics complaining about the story, and saying the movie was not going to live up to the hype. I went in expecting something betwwen the admitedly medicore Thor and the great Iron Man franchise. What we got was an almost perfect blend of eahc stury. Mark ruffalo was an excellent choice for the Hulk, and Downey's timing was perfect as always.
Well, both my wife and I, as well as my son, all absolutely LOVED this movie! It was "safe" for my youngest, it was funny, but serious at the right places, the effects were simply amazing, and overall, I would rate this as the best movie I have seen, period.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors
Cons none!, could have watched for another 2 hours easy!

I am usually hesitant to see a movie on opening night, but I went for this one, I had been looking forward to it for a long time. My friends and I did not get to sit together, very crowded theater, but it was sure fun to compare notes afterwards. The entire audience was spellbound. Great casting. I knew there would be conflict between any character and Iron Man, but the level of some of the other interactions was just WOW. We saw it in IMAX 3D and I definitely recommend it.
