Movie Of the Day: Resident Evil in 3D Grade: C+
Features Milla Jovovich, Michelle Rodriguez, Kevin Durand, Sienna Guillory, Oded Fehr, Johann Urb, Boris Kodjoe, Li Bingbing. Alice is back and is captive by the
Red Queen. The Red Queen is in control of the Umbrella Corporation and is doing stimulation trials on humans to see the effects of the T-Virus. Alice is introduced and explains at the beginning what previously happened. Alice is conscious and realized that the dreams she had were not dreams but her clone’s reality. Alice runs into her old friends who are now her enemy and her previous enemy, Wesker, is now her ally. She must go through the entire compound and face the zombies. The Red Queen tries to stop her at every turn.
The Zombies are back and so is Alice. The people that were presumed dead are back as well. The beginning I found to be odd. It goes into a rewind effect and then Alice provides a commentary explaining how she got where she currently was, I felt I was gipped as it appeared they only added the stuff from the beginning to make the movie longer. The story was not one of its best in the sequel, but lagged. The special effects were great and the acting could have had an improvement. The 3D effects were good but I didn’t feel like I got my money’s worth, (if I would have paid). Just little bits here and there. I felt the zombies to be a bit cheesy, where they were able to fight back and run. What the heck? Would I see it again? NO. Should others see it? Negative. Is it worth seeing in 3D? Most Definitely Not!

The story follows a linear patter, much like the game. simple and obvious dialogue followed by action sequence. The special effects are decent, the zombies don't look goofy and you get to see them clearly. As usual 3D is a waste of money, most of the action happens sideways so very few scenes actually pop out from the screen.

This movie was given so much hype and didn't deliver...Mila did her best but she needed a little more of a supporting cast. It needed more action too. The last two fight sequences were the best part of the movie seriously. Hope whats next is way better. This movie needed more depth. Also 3D is not worth the extra money for sure.

This movie started out exciting and then quickly got cheesy and lame. The acting was terrible, special effects were pretty good, but the 3D effects weren't as awesome as I've seen in other 3D movies. I've seen a lot of video games-made-into-movies over the years and this one was probably one of the worst as far as trying to follow the story line and the acting. Overall a disappointment and not worth the money spent.

If you go into this movie just looking for some more Resident Evil action, it's a good movie. At times the dialogue/script is poorly written and there's not much acting that can help it. It seems like your typical B movie in this light. But the action and special effects more than make up for this. If you want to be entertained by guns, explosions, and monsters for an hour and a half, this is a great movie! I left wanting more!

My only complaints are: it wasn't long enough AND there wasn't a scene after the credits as in the previous movies. Other than that, it's a great movie to relax and enjoy!!!

This movie did not produce many surprises. That is, I jumped in the seat a couple of times, but the storyline was extremely predictable.
However, I did not go to see this movie because I wanted to se a tear dripping drama about a puppy who had lost its kitten. This movie is great fun if you liked the other Resident Evil movies. Milla delivers a solid job, and the action is fast paced without many delays.

First off, I am biased in that I have loved the RE movies since the first one. I love the whole evil Umbrella Corp thing.
This movie brought back some old friends in new roles. It put in some new twists and helped evolve the RE storyline. It is amazing to me that they can pump out these RE movies and not make the storylines tired or forced. This movie's story melded with the earlier ones and evolved it in a new direction. Clearly leaving room for more as it seems every movie does now a days, I eagerly await the next installment of RE. This one will wind up on the movie rack next to the others when it comes out on video.

Kept me entertained the entire time, but too much thrown into too small of a time. They are really stretching out the saga longer than they should, but all in all... graphics amazing as always. was good to see all old cast members back in some role(s) and as always Mila is ah-mazing. Overall good see on the big screen.
