Whoever made the decision to make this movie THANK YOU!! The movie was wonderful and the people who stood for their Faith were a source of great PRIDE!! In today's world where faith is minimized and people of Faith are ridiculed, it's nice to see that people will stand up for their Faith, I know I do. Much thanks to all who participated in the movie
Pros well paced, great story, great actors
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This was an excellent movie! The subject matter really made me stop and think about how our government is trying to control our religious freedoms through the HHS mandate, abortion issues, end of life issues, and gay marriage issues and what could possibly happen. I would not recommend it for younger that 13 yr olds...lots of blood and killing.
This movie, Everyone needs to see it, especially if you are Christian, Catholic, you need to see this. It's a true story, this did happen in Mexico. I didn't know this happened in Mexico in the 1920's, never learned about in History going to school. You could hear a pin drop during the movie, everyone was so rivated to it through all of it. I wouldn't take kids under the age of 13 to see this movie, they would be horrifed and they really wouldn't understand what is going on in the movie.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors
Cons not for kids under the age of 13
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Great way to tell a piece of History! This story was intense throughout and I'm glad it was told. Wow! Well done.
I was not really looking forward to this movie. Good thing I listened to my wife. This movie turned out to be an exceptional cinematic experience. Not only about a true historic event, but the acting is very good. Andy Garcia's excellent acting is supported by an excellent cast. The movie length is longer than normal, but the story line keeps you interested.
This movie is worth the time and effort to go and see.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Outstanding drama! Andy, Eva, Peter, Oscar and Santiago gave it their all. I hope this picture wins as many awards as possible. Best movie I have seen in a long, long time. Makes me proud to be a Knight of Columbus, and former military officer. Subject matter pertinent to todays religious freedom challenges facing Catholics and others of faith. !Viva Cristo Rey!
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, great historical perspective, thought provoking
Yes, I recommend this movie.

4 Greater Glory sends a timely message of the fight for religious freedom while drawing you in with great battle scenes and bigger than life characters (which, by the way, are not fictional!) Deeper topics are: passive vs violence response to governmental actions; Father / Son (he never had) relationship; and where is God in a cruel world. Andy Garcia is incredible. A must for a father to go with his older teenage son (violence might be too much for younger viewers). I highly recommend this movie!
Pros great story, great actors, great message
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This movie was so powerful; it was an emotional roller coaster. 143 minutes may seem lengthy, but you are held captive the entire time that it doesn't seem so long. I learned so much from this film and yet I couldn't wait to get home and learn more. I definitely reccommend this movie but the tender-hearted beware...it tugs at your heart! Now...for the not so great part of it. The camerawork in this film was dizzying! I understand that the camera has to be full of motion while doing the action scenes, but for much of the film (even calm, quiet scenes), it appeared the shooting was done with a handheld camera and it is very shaky and distracting. :-( Lastly...I intend to take this complaint as high as I can because it was extremely disturbing: Prior to watching "For Greater Glory", we had to sit through the trailer for "The Possessed". It was so tasteless to pair these two titles in one sitting. Clearly this preview and this film were mis-matched.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors
Cons bad camera work at time., horrible preview selection.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

A must see movie especially since it is based on historical facts and occurred not so long ago (1920s). The words, “Viva Cristo Rey!” are continually on my mind. The making of the movie and release date are providential.
Pros great story
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Excellent movie and VERY relevant for our times! This is what happens when a government tries to take away religious freedom. Great political dialogue scenes for those who don't believe it can happen in America!
