This is my third time seeing this movie, and still found myself holding my breath during many of the action scenes. I love the timeline spins, and the small changes to older references. It is now a bold new frontier, where the actors continue to expand their roles in the evolution of this series. The lead characters are perfect!!
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, must see!

This movie was FANTASTIC! Definitely met my expectations and I was captivated the entire movie. I had very high expectations for this movie because the I believe the first one was amazing and I can honestly say that this one was better!

The actors chosen for the J.J. Abrams series of Star Trek do a great job at playing what everyone knows, as opposed to trying to put their own spin on these iconic characters. All of them live up to expectations, some exceeding them (Quinto as Spock). Almost to a fault, Chris Pine at times appears to be acting as William Shatner playing Kirk, instead of just Kirk. Thing is, there is no other Kirk, not like multiple people can play Batman or Spiderman, so it doesn't come across as a mocking of the original actors. If you like the original characters of Star Trek; if you like the movies with them in it, you will like these Abrams Treks, as they are very similar except they have better special effects and more action. Into Darkness ties-in and also pays homage to the originals. If you are familiar with those, you will appreciate this one even more. Definitely worth seeing this one in the theater. I wouldn't say it's a must-see in 3D, though. Can't wait for the next one!

The movie was wonderful! I love the way the actors mimic the mannerisms of the older characters that they are portraying! Whether it's a facial expression, a nervous tic, or a particular swagger, the attention to detail is spectacular! The only complaint I have was that the 3D effects took my attention needlessly away from the action at hand and really didn't add to the feel of the movie. We'll buy it when it comes out on Blu-Ray and I look forward to watching it without the 3D distraction.
