I'd read in articles prior to seeing Avengers that there would not be any one 'main' character, but I was dubious, considering Iron Man's reputation as a scene stealer. However, Avengers was actually about ALL of the team, and focused well on each of them in turn. There were great witty Joss Whedon one-liners (he's a great writer), and I thought there was a good balance of strength and vulnerability. I'm definately hooked!
(Just a lil comment, I saw it in a packed theatre, and it was really great how everyone started clapping when Stan Lee made his appearance. He must be a very happy man.)

Overall it was a good super-hero movie. Lots of action and special effects. Given the storyline the movie had many different characters to focus on which made it feel cramped and rushed with each one while still having the feel of an overly long movie.

After all the hype going into this movie, the teaser trailers at the ends of the other related movies, I was semi-prepared to be disappointed, but instead, I was blown away. Witty dialog, awesome heroics, and ROFL moments (and not all of them were RDJ's dialog!)! Never mind the special effects! Thanks, Joss Whedon! I should've known it would be fabulous with you directing!

This movie was awesome, I took my kids to see it and they loved it as well, and to impress teenagers now adays that was a feat. I will recommend this to all my friends. The reviews that I heard from the movie critics and the tv personallities was that the movie was slow and boring for the first hour of the movie while the heros were being gathered up and brought together and they wanted to leave. I found that not to be true this movie was great all the way through and I can't wait for the sequell.

Joss Whedon does an excellent job. I hope he continues with the franchise in the future. Mark Ruffalo brings Bruce Banner back with a vengence. Best movie I have seen in a long time. Gotta see it in 3D.

Personally, I think the movie was the best movie I have ever seen. The charachter dynamics, coupled with the humor and action sequences were better than I had even hoped for in the movie. After so many movie theater disappointments, finally, there is this great, entertaining movie.
Joss Whedon can do no wrong. Good, sound story and very good acting, dynamic, coherent, with a great villain. The A-list cast was showcased properly, where everybody had sufficient screen time, even peripheral characters.The chemistry among all the actors was rare and superb.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, great chemistry, great villain, funny

Exciting as expected, but watching it in 3D made it much better. I was little unsure if I would be a fan after seeing the previews but I can't wait for the next one. Loved Hulk. I wish that there was more of him in the first part of the movie.

This is definately a must see movie, Although there were times when I felt like, when are they going to shut up and get on with the action. When the action was happening it was definately packed and at times you'lleven laugh your socks off. You can never go wrong with a Marvel comic's movie. It's always a pleasure to see the characters come to life on the big screen and now as the Avengers, Great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
