went to the midnight screening for my bday last night and i really enjoyed the movie.. good amount of action, comedy, and dialogue.. i truly reccomend wheher a super hero fan or not.. if u havent seen it yet The Avengers is a movie u want to see before u hit the bucket lol

This movie has absolutely everything that a great movie should have. The Avengers is hands down the best 3D movie I've seen. The interaction of the characters makes them believable, draws you in and keeps you rooting for them all they way to the end. The dialogue's are funny and well placed and the special effects are just amazing! The actors are also totally amazing. I wouldn't change a thing. I thought that 2 hours and 22 minutes might be hard to fill, but it sped by and left me wondering how it had managed to go by so fast. Everyone in the theater was cheering and most of them waited for that last little scene with all the avengers sitting at the table. LOL. Funny and action packed and definitely a winner!

Counting the Dark Knight as a psychological thriller in a league of it's own, The Avengers takes Iron Man's previous mantle as greatest super hero movie of all time. And it blows it out of the water. The team dynamic is great. Every character struggles with his own personal issues while facing the task of teamwork. And dare I say it- Chris Evans redeems himself as Captain America, most likely because of the direction of Whedon. He doesn't suck like his feature film, but is actually quite awesome. However, for me, while Ruffalo was great as the hulk, the absence of Edward Norton was quite noticeable.

This movie blew me away and further cemented Joss Whedon's greatness to me. The dialogue was smart and hilarious, the action was exciting and the effects were even better than the films leading up to this one (Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America). I'll bet Warner Bros. is kicking themselves now for not allowing Joss Whedon to tackle Wonder Woman. He hits the mark extremely strong with this one, appealing to that inner 10 year old in me that would stay up way past my bedtime reading these comics. Cheers to the entire crew from this film. Can't wait to see it again!

Often movies like this can be just a bunch of throwaway one liners wrapped in fancy special effects, but this film was nothing like that at all. The acting was incredibly engaging and did not feel 'cartoonish' execpt in one or two extremely brief instances. The scenes were meaningful and the characters were a lot deeper than you would expect in a film like this. This is a movie you will want to see again and again, and not just for the special effects. 3D was great overall, though there were moments where it actually hurt more than it helped. But it didn't stop this from being one of the best action films I have ever seen, and I've seen just about all of them.
Highly, highly recommended.

This movie was just awesome. A lot of movies when there are tons of characters to use just suck. However Avengers uses all its characters and knows how to be serious and then infuse comic relief. This movie is really a must seen as it was really great the only complaint I had was the 3D was almost nonexistent, but that could have just been me.

I went to the midnight showing of The Avengers in 3D. The theater was filled with guys in their teens and twenties dressed as their favorite Avenger. I must admit I felt alittle odd being older and a female, lol. But it was worth it. The Avengers is by far one of the BEST movies I have ever seen!! It has action, adventure, depth, great actor performances and humor with alittle touch of heartwarming moments. It exceeded my epectations! I think that most will agree that The Avengers is the best of the best superhero movies made...so far.

Well worth the late night to catch the midnight showing. Over the top visual effects, well timed comedy scenes and one-liners, and a good comic book story line brought to life. Great entertainment for the target audience.

Long wait for this movie, was well worth it. Joss Whedon did an amazing job directing. Great camera angles, great plot. My only complaint...it went a little "transformerish..." towards the end when the war took place...OVERALL, great MOVIE! MUST SEE!!!!
