It started out really fast and good then after 45 minutes it got slow and I fell asleep for about 15 minutes then it ended pretty good. Really liked it because it was just right for my kids who are 4 and 6. There were also alot of great colors and acts done by the animals. Overall, a great family movie.

I went to see the movie with my husband and kids and we all laughed so much and there were these parts where you could really see the genuine amusement and joy in their eyes. So I would definitely recommend this movie to adults as much as for children of all ages.

Overall the movie was entertaining- it was humorous and had a lot to action to keep the kids involved- the only draw back was some jokes were too difficult for most kids to get who are not at least middle school age.

I'm a Big Sister and I took my Little Sister to see Madagascar 3. Both of us really enjoyed it. The music fit well with the plot, the characters were entertaining, and the special effects were fun to watch. The movie dragged a little bit in the middle but once it headed into the conclusion, it came up strong with a positive message about loyalty and friendship. And we're both still singing "dum-dum-da-da-da-da-dum-dum: Circus!" A very clever and entertaining movie, with something to like for adults as well as kids.

This movie has got to be the best movie for families in a long while, if you haven't seen it and your planning to trust me you are going to want to probably watch this in 3D. I lucked out because my wife wears glasses and the 3D glasses isn't the best for someone who already wears glasses. I don't want to say to much but watch it in 3D.

my son loved it.but we both were annoyed by the French lady (evil character). Seems a little over the top to have her trying to saw off Alex the lions's head. But other than her, we loved it. Really liked the sea lion (as a new character). Yes, I would go again for my son.

We hadn't seen the first two movies in the series, so I can't compare this one to its predecessors, however, I can say that my 4 yo loved it. There were no scary parts, which was great. Just bright colors, lots of animals and music - all her favorite things. And as an adult, I thought the story and dialogue was funny and interesting enough that I'd see it again. Also we didn't see it in 3D because my daughter can't handle 3D yet (wigs her out), but I can see how this movie would be great in 3D.

For the serious adults, this movie will take a little while to get moving, but it does pay off in the end. I always determine how good a movie is when I take my wife, who is not a movie person, and see how long she sleeps through it. During Madagasgar 3 (might consider changing the title by now) she dozed off for only fifteen minutes, ergo the three stars.

I don't know who was more excited to see this movie, my son or us adults. Madagascar 3 was such a great family friendly movie. There was plenty of humor for adults, and an easy to follow story line for the kiddies. I would definitely recommend going to see this movie, whether you have kids or are a kid at heart!

This..by far..was the best movie out of all three. The movie was able to keep the interest of my three year old and my eight year old. This is usually a tough situation. The adult humor was also well appreciated. They both love the Afro Circus song! It is now my ringtone. :)

I took my wife and two boys (13 & 6) to see this movie and we loved it. We have loved all the Madagascar movies and can't wait to purchase this one too. It was very funny, colorful and has many lines my 6 year old will be repeating for weeks. It was a lot of fun and we had a great time! Enjoy!

It was zany and upbeat. It had enough silly scenes and tag lines to keep my kiddoes laughing and enough pop references for adults (not that these kind of movies really need them -in fact I think today's kiddoe movies tend to overdo them). The familiar characters fell comfortably into place. There was some ethnic stereotyping and maybe a potty word or two. We knew what we were expecting and we got it!
Pros great actors, zany funny, upbeat, familiar characters, funny taglines
Cons some mild innuendos, pacing a little uneven, basically sketches w/ a little plot in between
