I know that I should not have had high hopes for this movie, but what can I say, I am a hopelessly romantic optimist. I really wanted to love this movie. I however did not even like this movie.
I am so sick to writers and directors using the F word over and over, please can we get some great vocabulary. I promise America is not as Dumb as Hollywood seems to think we are.
The only dance ability was from Channing Tatum, the other fellas must have been fillers for eye candy. Did they think that the ladies were going to be so focused on the nudity that we wouldnt notice?
Mathew Mc...he does seem to play dirt bags real well...
I would give this movie a miss as well as a big fat booo!

If you are expecting stripping all the time you will be disappointed. It does have an actual story and it is not a bad story. It is visually appealling with extremely hot guys and entertaining. Channing Tatum is HOT!!!! and Alex Pettyfer is gorgeous. I was pleasantly suprised in every way with this movie.

movie was good just wish I could of seen more of tatum dancing, just really like his dancing! thought the story line was ok. Great for a girl's night. Ladies, please don't take your man. We saw two in the sold out theater and they looked absolutely miserable. Watch this for the dancing and sex appeal, not the story line. Slow at parts, numerous at others. Overall very enjoyable.

If your expecting a good story line stay at home. This movie does give a glimpse into the life of a male stripper and of course my daughter and I went to see the hunks strut their stuff-which by the way could have been some more of! Loved the dance moves Channing Tatum displayed just wished their was some more of the dancing with some better looking men. 3D would definitely be an improvement.

If you seriously think you are going to this movie for the plot, then this movie is not for you. It is about the beefcake, plain and simple. Oh, and the dancing! Channing has some moves! Shall I mention Joe? Hmmm, and Matthew bringing his usual self to the table. It's a fest for the eyes. Story? What story.... I kid. There is an okay story in there, but some of the casting lacked. Not the men, but the women. The ending was abrupt, and seemed like there could have been more.
Ladies, get a bunch of you together for a girls night out and go have some fun, forgetting your stresses for a few hours.

It was fun and somewhat entertaining, I enjoyed watching Channing and Matt move like that!
However, the transitions between some scenes were a little awkward jumping from the fast pace to slow pace. Dialogue was slow and could have used some improvement. I think the best part of the movie was from the climax to the conclusion. They could have put more thought into this movie. I've seen better acting from Channing and Matthew.

Magic Mike is in the Top Ten of The Worst Movies Ever. Without exception the acting of the main characters is uncomfortably wooden (especially that of Channing Tatum and the actress who plays Adam's sister- Tatum is attractive but cannot act and that actress has ONE expression only). The concept of exploring the backstory of the male stripper world was interesting but this movie did not come close to anything other than a stereotypical, shallow and poorly acted waste of a moviegoing experience. The audience actually groaned and then laughed out loud at the ending, one of the worst in any movie I've ever seen.
Don't waste your money. Don't even see it if you can get in for free.

Save your $ ladies. The previews are the best part of this movie. We all went thinking it was a comedy with some eye candy & skin...it's a very slow, poorly written drama, that focuses more on driving scenes and drug scenes than eye candy scenes. 20 min of fun stripper stage scenes and 1hr30min of really bad attempts at acting and drama.

think the best part of the movie was matthew mconaughay dancing to kiss Dr. Love. Channing was great but not enough dancing scenes. Movie theater full of yelling women was annoying. Storyline was a little lame.
