After seeing the first, its immediately apparent what #2 will be focused on. Its almost the reverse script of how #1's plot was instead its the hunter now the prey. While the action is intense throughout, the story lines are predictable. Still entertaining and worth the watch.

It picked up exactly where Taken left off. It did end begging a sequel to the sequel. If you liked Taken, you will NOT be disappointed.

Liam Neeson reprises his role as Bryan Mills the retired CIA operative. Bryan takes a small assignment in Istanbul Turkey. He wraps up the assignment and is ready to return to the USA, but his daughter (Maggie Grace) and her mother Bryan's ex-wife (Famke Janssen) show up to surprise him. Little does anyone know that the father of one of the kidnappers from the first installment is plotting revenge against Brian. The story unfolds from there...
I really enjoyed the first installment. It's very difficult to carry over the intrigue and excitement that the 2009 hit "Taken" had. I have to say that while the paid critics were luke-warm about this second installment, they are only half right. The movie has plenty of intrigue and suspense, but the story is weak at best. It lacks the "torture and interrogation scenes that made "Taken" so good.
There isn't as much action as the first installment, but Liam Neeson is awesome!! He still has the skills of "Jason Borne and MacGyver".
There is some great cinematography of Istanbul Turkey. I say if you really liked the first installment "Taken" then you should see "Taken 2".

Liam kicks butt again! This time around, he and his ex-wife get taken and the daughter has to perform some heroic acts to free them from the revenge-focused Albanians he assaulted in the first film. However, Liam is the main attraction and most of her actions are setup to free him and not much else. Once he gets loose, Liam unleashes all of his mano-a-mano skills to drive each of them to their knees (at least shortly before killing them). Anyway, the formula still works. My only criticism of the film is that he doesn’t do as much damage this time around as he did in the first one. There’s a great car chase scene through narrow Turkish streets that reminded me of the Bourne movie. Still, there’s no reason to believe that you won’t enjoy this film if you enjoyed the original Taken. I did and (spoiler alert!) this one sets up nicely for a third one.

I loved the first taken and was prepared for another wild ride. It does not disappoint. The bad guys are believable and I hated them as I should. The story was plausible and worked for the story line. Liam was at his best as well as the wife and daughter. It is a fun filled hour and a half well worth the price of the ticket!!

Luce Besson delivers again. If you liked Taken then Taken 2 would be a joy ride. Despite the similar idea behind the movie the execution is on a superb level. Camera work, dialogue, chemistry between the actors, fast pace, humor, action...I mean everything is there. IT IS JUST AMAZING! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! LOVED IT LOVED IT!
Pros well paced, great story, great actors
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The movie was pretty good as far as the action goes but very predictable based on the last movie (the original has a better story line). Wife in the movie is a horrible actress, I'm sorry but very forced and not believable at all.
Liam Neeson did a great job overall, he is a cool cat and just kicks ass just like last time.
Well worth spending the money on and seeing it on the big screen.
4 out of 5 in my book.

Based on the previews, this looks like another excellent, if a bit complex film that makes Liam Nesson one of the best kick-butt actors in Hollywood!!

I can't wait to see this film! I am a big fan of the original Taken, which was released into theaters in January 2009!! I am pleased with the preview of the film, and after watching the preview of the film, it got me really excited and wanted to really see this film!! I can't wait to see this film when it is released into theaters on Friday, October 5th 2012!!! I guess that I will have to see then!!! I can't wait!!!
Pros great story, great actors, a greak kick-butt revenge storyline and film
