I had seen the previous movie with the same cast, it was like deja vu in a new location, except this time the entire family was hostage not just the daughter. Many of the same scenarios, same chases, etc. The only real difference, the daughter is growing up, so no b-day party this time a boyfriend
Cons slow, been there done that

My husband and I saw this then Skyfall in the same night. He probably would have given this a 5 star because there isn't alot to follow in intracacies in the storyline. Plot line alot like Taken but with a twist. But, action ensues from begininning to the end and holds your attention.

I thought this to be a great sequel to the original Taken. My husband and I really enjoyed it. The only thing we didn't like was the franctic camera movement during the fight scenes which made it hard to see exactly what was going on. Otherwise, a great movie we both recommend. If you liked the 1st one, you'll probably like this one too.

Although I enjoyed the movie the story line was very predictable. Also I quite don't understand why people have to fight when they have guns in their hands? Could someone please explain this to me?

Liam Neesen is a great actor. In fact is one of my favorite actors, specially because of his paper as Ra's al Ghul. Now in this sequel, he is seen tired of running and one of my friends also noticed that he was not the one who you see running when the face is not showing. The camera work on the fighting scenes are very poor denoting that the director don't want people to see too much details in the fighting scenes thus signifying poor execution by the actors/doubles. One sided story, from the begining you know he is going to win the fight but please, don't make it so easy for the hero. This reminds us of Steven Seagal movies but this one is edited so it could be a PG-13 instead of an R movie. Story is short, cuold use more motives than family revenge. At the end of the movie we all had the thought: Oh the girl's boyfriend was another member of the old bad guy family! hahaha. Better luck next time. And guys if you want to make a great movie, let me now first so I can give you a god advice ;)

Judging how great the first Taken movie was, I really expected so much more than what I got, while watching Taken 2. It wasn't horribe or anything, it just didn't meet all the hype that was surrounding it. I'd still recommend everyone to see it, though! It kept my attention the whole time!
