I loved this movie! The acting by Mark Duplass, Emily Blunt, and Rosemarie DeWitt was exceptional...especially when you know that the movie was filmed over 12 days and most of the dialogue was improvised!
Pros well paced, great story, great actors
Yes, I recommend this movie.

While the ending is eventually predictable, it is well-acted, great dialogue and touching sensitive story.
This movie breaks some ground in terms of natural feel. The script is fiercely strong, but doesn't play "scripted." The actors delivered scenes, it felt, from within, with interruption, stepping on words, all the trappings of reality. The story was fresh and unpredictable, although it expressed universal themes of love, jealousy, betrayal, and triangulation. I personally felt the music was weak and the jaggy work-print cuts were jarring. There was also, for me, a questionable feeling that the film editor was trying to affect European style. Overall, direction and acting were great, and I came away disturbed. In a good way.
This is a touching movie about friends, lovers, and sister who fill each other's lives with chaos only to turn it into fulfillment. Emily Blunt plays the sister who secretly loves a friend who's an emotional wreck. She offers him the family cabin for some R&R not knowing that her sister is shacked up there dealing with a tough breakup. As luck would have it, her friend and sister get it on and she's gets crushed. The rest of the movie is spent repairing the relationship with her friend and sister. This movie is well executed and the characters are nicely developed. It's an emotional time at the movies, but in a good way. I recommend it.
