This movie is an over-dramatized, over-played, and uninspired love story between a woman who discovers love while in a loveless marriage. It's exhausting to watch because the emotions suppressed and too many things remain unsaid. Overall, it's a depressing rag of a film that never quite finds it's momentum to tell the story of a trio of Brits who love the wrong people and tear their lives apart doing it.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Actors are told to never play mood because mood spelled backwards is doom. Unfortunately, mood overwhelms this film. From the very beginning with the overly prominent Barber Violin Concerto as the soundtrack, the film's pacing is ponderous and unrelenting. All the actors turn in good performances, but in the end I was wondering "is the paint dry yet?" Davies has done much better work.
