Don't Back Down is a "MUST SEE" for every teacher, for every parent and for anyone concerned with the future of education in our country. The movie is not afraid to clearly state what's wrong with our educational system. It's not afraid to clearly depict the small minority of teachers who suffer from classroom burnout or who just don't give a damn and is one of the most uplifting movies to come out in a while. The acting is crisp. The story is well written and is about as real as gets. As a high school teacher, I applaud the movie and its attempts to focus attention to the most important aspect of our society...preparing our young people for life.
Pros great story
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Every now and then a movie comes along, that touches upon an important open issue in our world, but that does not just laments and blames, but actually shows how change can look and be initiated.
Won't back down is such a movie.
The movie reminded me, that unions and processes are important controls to ensure fairness and effectiveness. However, when it grows out of hand, it might cause the opposite - hindrance instead of support.
I believe, that our (human's) purpose in this world is to cause change and further the development of this world. It is not about my personal gain and comfort, but about how I can contribute to the growth of the creation.
This movie is another great example of how magic can happen when one or more persons get beyond looking at their own benefit and work towards the greater good.
It also is anothe rexample of how personal discomfort seems to be the best motivator for us to get moving, to start doing something.
That to me is sad. Imagine if our focus would be contribution and positive change!
Anyhow, I can only recommend this movie to anybody - as it shows how one person can start a ball rolling. It inspires and motivates to look around my own life and see what balls I am seeing lying around that might need to get a push...
Enjoy!
Pros well paced, great story, great actors
Cons not showing in all theaters
Yes, I recommend this movie.
