My husband and I went to this movie with my enthusiastic 8 year old son (a fan of the books and the other 2 movies) and his reluctant 6 year old sister. We all enjoyed it and I think my 6 year old daughter laughed the loudest. It is a silly family movie that we all enjoyed.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Kids will like this movie. However this is the weakest storyline of the wimpy kid series
My 11 year-old son was literally rolling on the floor laughing during parts of this movie. Considering the fact that he's read all the books several times, that's saying something. I've read the books, too, and enjoyed seeing the characters & situations come to life. Nothing will beat the original drawings & concise wit of the books but this is a worthy attempt and a lot of fun. Steve Zahn deserves special notice in the for his work in the role of Greg's dad.
This was a good movie. I really enjoyed it, it had a lot of comedy-that made me laugh out loud in many parts. It was good for the third movie of a series, and had a good lesson. All of the actors were great and each had their own comedic sense. Only an hour and a half, so not too long, and it was a good family movie-that is worth watching for the whole family.
I took my daughter to this movie and was expecting a shabby film. I must say, the main actor comes off as a total wimp. So, if that was my reaction, the acting must have been pretty good. It's a silly movie with a few predictable outcomes, but my 10 year old daughter went with me and really enjoyed it. It was entertaing enough for me and that's what counts when you tale the kids to the movies.
No great moral revelations, though telling the truth is probably the biggest lesson in the film.
THis is an easyy wait to DVD if you are short on time or money.

Of the three Diary movies this was my least favorite. It didn't lack for entertainment, but I feel like they tried too hard to come up with situations where things could go wrong. As always, the acting was excellent and the the time just flew by. I could have sat and watched it for hours more. I just wish that one time Greg could catch a break and things could go his way. This is a kid who really does understand what needs to be done to appear "cool," yet somehow, every possible roadblock that can get in his way seems to show up- every time. And is it just me or is Rowley starting to get a bit annoying?
Pros great actors, entertaining
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I took my 9 year old Grandson to the movie and we laughed out loud through out the movie. Cleverly written humor not stupid slap stick. I can hardly wait till it comes out on DVD so I can watch it again with my grandson.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Grandpa and nine year old grandson give this thumbs up. Enjoyed the humor and special effects. Grandson is still relating parts of the movie to me. Sounds like a great summer movie for older kids and the even older kids (grandpas).
Pros well paced, great story, great actors
