Hard to make a retrospective chronicle into a move, but I woudl have liked them to have tried. What they came up with was a pretty decent zombie movie that is well worth seeing - it just isn't World War Z.

Very intense...my daughter and I were on the edge of our seats. Really intense and fast pased. The music behind the scenes was very good in setting up the next surprise...and yes you cannot get attached to a charachter because before you know they'll turn in to "Zeke." I definately would recomond the movie.

There are slow moving zombies and then there are fast ones. These are the sprinters of the Zombie Olympics and they are scary. And, oh yes, and there are millions of them! It sets the pace for the film. Right out of the gate the action happens quickly and never lets up. Few people last more than a scene if that.
Unlike most Living Dead type films or 28 Days Later ones, this is not so much about killing the zombies as it is about trying to find zombie number one so that the world can look for a cure. Of course that means some fool must go out into zombieland to find where it all started and that fool is Brad Pitt. He is some sort of spook worker for the UN (they never make it clear but you know he's a badass). He's a family man with a wife and two kids in tow when it all begins and is told that if he doesn't go on this suicide mission, his family is expendable.
This is not the book so don't compare it. Its well done and constantly intense. Imagine thinking you've escaped the zombies and are escaping on a jet for a while only to have them suddenly attack from out of nowhere. The battle scenes are epic and furious.
Its not your father's zombie film. Follow the bread crumbs and go see it!

If you never read the book , this movie would Okay not great but okay. That in itself is the problem I went to see " World War Z or the Zombie War " instead the makers of this movie went for the Money shot the visual effect and folowed up a story that lacked plot and charcters that you just do not care about . I want more in the movie, I loved the book .
Cons bad acting, no story, not related to the book.

I really enjoyed this movie and for the most part it left me wondering about all the holes they left. It was well put together but it felt to rushed I would've been okay with me if they would have gone more into detail about the aftermath or developed the characters more. I will say that the special effects are awesome. Would watch again...

A snooze fest...Brad was great but Brad was seriously miscast as our hero...He was hardly believable in his role and painfully inept in wooing me to care about his outcome...As for the Zombies;they were truly cartoonish and hardly scary...After watching this movie it just afformed my belief that 'The Walking Dead' is the best series on Cable regarding acting writing and of course...'The Biters'.."

Behavior of zombies was different in the book...only mentioned them running 1 time. Movie could have at least introduced clean up efforts & Israel never got over run in the book. Story book told was great movie by comparison was so so.
