Just stepped in from seeing this movie. Since the slow moving zombies of the 1968 B/W classic "Night of the Living Dead" zombies of today can run the 100 yard dash in 9.4. The zombies in World War Z are faster, hungrier and meaner!!! This is an Over-The-Top zombie movie! Just the sight of the mass number of people (zombies) making a human ant hill type mountain was crazy!!!!
Great Special Effects!! Great Movie!!!

The movie opens with a somewhat, failed attempt to introduce and develop the characters fast, which wasn't a big deal at all. It then leads into an enthralling introduction of the "zombies" and the pandemonium that follows. You follow Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) and his family. Gerry does not know what is going on, but he only has one instinct, survival, for him and his family. It's mainly this reason that you care about and respect his character. I actually cared about the characters in this movie, primarily Brad Pitt's character, but, nonetheless, I cared for them. This is a very entertaining movie, with the combination of likable characters and unforgettable sequences of near-death experiences with the infected. This is one of the most thrilling and enjoyable zombie movies in a long time. I, undoubtedly, recommend this movie. At first glance, I thought the movie looked cliche and unoriginal from its trailer, but it surprised me quite a bit. I am in anticipation of a hopeful sequel; which is definitely a possibility.

Wow. Hold on to your seat and prepare for a fun ride as Brad Pitt races against time to save the world from a Zombie invasion like no other. Instead of the slow moving boring undead we are used to seeing in previous flicks, these folks run pretty darn fast. Thankfully, we are spared the blood and gore of lower budget movies in favor of a big budget well made scary thriller. Great effects, especially the scene where the Zombies scale a high wall in Israel.The last third doesn't quite measure up to the rest of the movie on the excitment scale, but still works just the same.

Loads of action that kept you waiting at the edge of your seat. The acting was terrific, as well as the special effects which came together perfectly. I've seen many zombie story lines, but this one was developed with so much more intense and made your heart pound.
