I thought the movie was great! I did not know much about Liam Neeson previously but he did an exceptional job in this movie. The wolves were classic, the music was solid. The only issue I had was the ending. No one has mentioned, maybe they did it that way for a part 2??? If they do a sequel I wonder how they would spin it after the fight between the Alpha and Liam? I hope there is a part 2! This movie will be in my top 20 all time and may rise. PJ

I thought The Grey was a very thrilling and scary movie. I had to cover my eyes multiple times because of the blood and gore. I thought the acting was great. Liam Neeson is one of my favorites and he did a great job. My complaint was the language. But, I don't think those guys would have said "oh gosh jeez golly" instead of the f word in real life. It was very much fitting to the situation. And the wolves were so scary!

Starts out - trying to engage us - has lots of suspense - but unravels pretty quickly - and the last 20 mintues were a total waste of time and the ending was worthless - DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Wish I had seen these reviews before deciding on a Friday night movie.

(review contains spoilers) This movie would have easily been given 5 stars if it just ended differently. I love Liam neeson and love thrillers/actions that he stars in because he often makes the movies. The movie has a ton of great things. Good CGI, Great pop up moments, deep meanings, Great action. The only issue i have is that the entire movie is built up to the last scene. As each survivor is killed, the alpha male watches, and waits to find the alpha male in their pack. You see this first when liam neeson beats frank grillo (i believe) next to the fire. just as the challenge was issued among the wolves, same concept here on who is going to lead this team. So after only Liam neeson is left, he is says his goodbyes and you see him go toe to toe with the alpha wolf. The movie ends.... it leaves the ending opening wrong thing to do in my opinion. There were a few options that came in my head. The most likely one is that in a 1 on 1 situation he prob would have killed the wolf but been injured, then it leaves to decide would the other wolfs back off(him killing alpha male) most likely not and he would have died either way but i guess i wanted to either see him go out guns blazing and i feel every one else did i mean it is liam neeson

Great suspense,great acting however the story was convaluted and got lost in the wilderness. The plot seemed to loose direction and stumbled to a unexpected ending. I thought the movie was front loaded became slow from the middle to the end. Love Neeson, Mulroney, just expected more from the story.

If we can count on something in this crazy world, it is a good Liam Neeson action adventure movie in the dead of winter. This is probably his best overall performance, bringing a tough edged, introverted, lonely man to life. The cinematography is outstanding, and as the movie progresses the viewer feels the survivors' sense of desolation and isolation. For those who like a "pat" ending, this movie will leave them unsatisfied. For those who stay through the credits for the "secret scene," it won't help ease that feeling much. But for those moviegoers who appreciate any open ending that will keep you talking about the movie for days to come, you won't be disappointed!

This movie held my attention and was riveting from start to finish. The lead actor Liam delivered an excellent performance as a tormented man from his past. The only disappointment was the ending. I honestly kept hoping that there would be a different ending. I won't say more than that so as not to ruin it for someone else.

I also love Liam Neeson, especially after his wife's tragic accident and I know he emerged himself in his work.This movie was looking great in the ads but to watch a movie for 2 hrs and have a crapping ending like this one,with no resolution whatsoever is pathetic.You will be disheatened after watching this man's struggle to see such a pathetic ending, or no ending at all, black screen just as he faces the alpha wolf head on.Pathetic!!

Gripping, suspense filled movie which is interesting and well acted. Liam Neeson is terrific, as always, and the movie grabs your attention and keeps you on the edge of your seat for the full 2 hours. Nature scenes in the arctic are beautiful, and the movie contains graphic, frightening, and bloody scenes with carnivorous and territorial wolves tracking and killing survivors one by one.

From beginning to end The Grey is as intense as it is artistic. Every shot uses the elements to create a truly dramatic piece. May it be the breath from the characters or the blistering blizzards. Really great use of light and landscape; the cinematography is outstanding. The story keeps you intrigued and Liam makes his character seem very real. You can really feel the power and emotion flowing through his character as he fights his biggest enemy, himself. The Grey is one of those films that will keep you wanting more and coming back again and again. After all one must live and die on this day, not the next.
