Ok I guess because I love Liam I had some pretty high expectations...and as an actor he met all of them. I found myself building up for this big finale just to be let down at the end. I found myself walking away from the movie "thinking"...which I guess isn't too bad.The more I thought about it, I guess the ending should have been expected, but not what was desired. Overall it did keep me entertained for a couple of hours.

I got talked into this film by a friend..will never trust him to pick again. Why would anyone want to watch a pack of wolves chew up a group of mostly unlikeable humans, including the one who buries his grief by sharpshooting at wolves for a living in a godforsaken place to protect those unlikeable humans. I made it through the first attack complete with bloody footprints and then waited in the lobby. Can't belileve he made it through the whole film and liked it.

The movie was great. It starts slow, but it's one of those movies that you have to hang in there till the end to get the full impact. The characters chosen to potray met the quota for the plot of the movie. Liam Neeson is exceptional. In order to connect to his direct emotions during this movie, you have to be the adventure type. The one that puts it on the line and rambo's it on out. Into the face of danger he will go. Knowing the odds are stacked high in his opponents favor. Overall it was worth double the money paid for this viewing. I highly recommend you see it.

I had high hopes for this movie before viewing - it is, a decent movie, but some of the scenes were quite frankly, not very believable. While I certainly don't know anything about the nature of wolf behavior, the animals in the movie were simply not believable. In addition, the likeness of the animals was too "computer" generated - appeared "fake" with regard to how the animals moved during the movie, especially during the attack scenes.
I have seen some of Liam Neeson's "action" films over the last few years and really like him in these types of roles. In fact, he did an excellent job trying to save this movies and script, but the bottom line, the script, special effects and other actors in the movie is why this movie is average - in my opinion.

I love Liam Nesson, truly I do, but I did not like "The Grey". The movie does contain some action and is very violent, brutal, bloody, intense, mildly suspenseful, but very efficient in telling the story. At times the story moved a bit too slow for me.
Liam Neeson is excellent in his portrayal of "Ottway". Please make no mistake the movie is very well done. I just did not like the subject matter. If you are a Liam Neeson fan and can stand the brutality of "The Grey" then this is your movie.

This movie had some good action scenes but the wolves were diffently over the top. The movie doesn't really seem to go anywhere, then just stops abruptly. You would be better to wait for this one on dvd. Oh by the way for the couple behind us at the 6:35 showing at the Warren who thought this was a B horror movie, it wasn't. It was pointless and annoying to laugh, clap and cheer the entire movie!

After seeing so many ads for this film I became a bit nervous as to what to expect. I was not disappointed as I always enjoy Liam Nelson films. A young man at front of the theater told me to wait for the end of the credits and that would answer some of my questions which it did.The film is a survival film and it made me glad that I was not stuck out there with them

The movie started out good, but really never went anywhere after the first 20 minutes. The wolves seemed superhuman rather than just regular wolves, and there was never any point in the film in which I felt they were nothing more than CGI. The ending was a huge let down - very anticlimactic.

Exiting movie, most of it anyway. Liam is awesome but there is a huge drop in quality after that when it comes to the acting. I detest the "anti God" dialog and the "empty feeling" ending. Change those two foolish things about the movie and it would be a 5 star film in my opinion.

I enjoyed every moment of this film! It's an action flick with some profound insights into the innate human survival instincts. The same instincts that may turn suicidal thoughts into an unnerving desire to survive. Liam Neeson plays a man whose job is is to guard oil pipelines and excavation sites from wild animals like wolves. He's an emotionally scared man who recently lost his wife to a serious illness. He's so distraught that he's even suicidal at the beginning of the movie. He boards a company plane hating life and not wanting any human contact. Then the plane crashes and his survival instincts kick into high gear. In fact, he even takes the lead to try and keep a group of men safe from hungry wolves. Suffice it to say, the wolves are on their home turf and the fight proves to be to the finish.

The trailer was better than the movie. Some exciting parts but I was disappointed. I thought it would be better. Although there was a part in the movie that made me jump and I haven't done that in a long time lol. The ending could have been a lot better. I liked the film very much as did those who viewed it with me. However, more than 30 minutes of LOUD and obnoxious "previews" was horrible and uncalled for. I paid 10 bucks a ticket to watch commercials at the loudest volume I have ever heard. Nice theater, good film--but if you keep the volume that loud I will not be coming back. I did notify the manager and he was courteous.

Liam Neeson's acting is very good in The Grey. Some gruesome scenes and basically what you can expect from being stranded in the wild. Yes, this movie is predictable. There are 2 endings to this movie, so stay for the 2nd ending after the end credits. However ... I really disliked the ending and you may feel the same way. I highly recommend that you see the movie but I would have changed (or added to) the ending.

This has to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen. And I love Liam Neeson! How they managed to make survival into something this boring is beyond me. I seriously considered walking out, as several other people in the theatre had already done.

Big fan of Liam Nesson, this movie was very traumatic, especially the plane scene and wolf scenes, however, some of the wolves looked fake, and I really really really hated the ending. I would give it a 7 out of 10. The dramatic scenes and Liam were the best parts of the movie.

Plane crash, scary. Big wolves, scary. Walking across a frozen tundra trying to avoid scary wolves after a plane crash, not so scary. FYI in the real world don't leave the plane. The story is good, the acting is good. I wish they would have left the wife out of the story, it didn't add to the story. If you know any thing about wolves be prepared to let some things slide.

There are very few movies I have ever seen that Nilson has failed to bring a story to its fullest. That being said, this movie did not leave you fealing warm and fuzzy! It is a movie that keeps you wanting more and many times not finding it but the fact that you keep expecting it was enough to rate it 4 stars. There was a lot of suspense and times that you could not understand why intellegent men did some of the things they did but then how intellegent are any of us when we are placed in such a horrific situation? I would recommend it.

Highly recommend seeing this one at the theater for the full effect.
Sure there's a few far fetched scenes, not any different then Spielberg's 'Warhorse' few far fetched scenes.

Starts out strong, the wife element is obvious, Liam is good as usual. Plot unravels and fizzles in final scene...not a spoiler alert but be prepared to be disappointed.
