Well after reading lots of negative reviews,now I know why.No this is not a bad movie but here is why I believe its not worth seeing.1.too many SLOW deaths in this movie,I meen come on I know were going to die but they spend about 10min on each persons slow death.2.Many of the dogs look fake3.The acting was not all that convincing.4.The start of the movie shows a slow death of a wolf( I didnt care to see this either.Well enough,this isnt a bad movie but you just feel bummed out at the end!

Other than the occasional 1-liner they would toss in to give you a short laugh and surely put in place to keep you interested, this movie was a gigantic disappointment from beginning to end. I have been trying to think of even a handful of movies that I have seen that were worse than this one--and thus far have not been able to do so. So this movie ranks in my top 5 worst of all time. What a waste of time.

Originally, after SEEING the low rating % of people that did not care for this movie, we were not going to see it. However, after READING the reviews from people, we changed our mind and were very pleased with the flick. The acting was superb and some people might call it a "character" study. My personal opinion is that because the movie doesn't have a "happy" ending, a lot of individuals gave it a poor rating. If you do decide to see this, BE sure and wait for the very short blurb at the END of the credits as it will give you some closure. ;)

So I see so many people complaining about the way this movie ends. I didn't see the extra scene but was completely satisfied with the ending. I think this movie is wonderful from beginning to end. The action is fairly non-stop, there are several times when I was jumping out of my seat. Yet today the next day I can't stop thinking about it. I think for me I started looking for more meaning around the middle, and I think the wolves represent the main characters depression and in the end he decides to stop running from fear and sadness and fight. The other interpretation I thought of was that he dies early on and is in hell for most of the movie. I don't know for sure which the true interpretation is or even if I'm completely off, but thinking about the movie in these terms is really satisfying for me.
I think ultimately if all you take away from this movie is the suspense and action that you have missed a significant part. To the person who was falling asleep.....really? just really? I found the movie riveting and would recommend it to anyone who can handle a decent amount of gore and still look past the action to possible other interpretations.

I was very excited to see this movie after seeing the previews on TV and I must say "what a disappointment!!!". I have never heard so many people in a theater say "YOU HAVE GOT BE KIDDING ME!!" when they watched the ending. Some of them were even BOOING the movie.The build up was great but they ruined it with the horrible ending and the extreme amount of profanity. I would also like to point out that if you have any Christian values at all you will be thoroughly disgusted as Liam Nelson gives the most obscene rant against God that I have ever heard. I don't want to be him when he faces the Almighty Creator of Heaven and Earth and has to account for that. Don't waste your time or your money on this one it is gutter trash filth.

Simply put, this is one bad ass movie. It's hard core from beginning to end, no cheesy effects or suspension of disbelief here, just raw Man vs Wild. It's one extremely unfortunately situation after another, and a group of tough men battling physical and mental deterioration along the fateful journey... oh and a pack of really pissed off wolves. Don't listen to the hater reviews, this film will have you holding your breath and clenching your fists at times, it is that intense. I only had a few minimal gripes with this one, otherwise I'd have given it 5 stars, but nothing that keeps it from being a spectacular film worth seeing again.

This movie was overall good. Some parts of the movie was funny and some were suspenseful. I enjoyed seeing how the cast were trying to survive in freezing temperatures and avoid the animal attacks. Seeing how the cast were out in the middle of nowhere with no hope in sight trying to avoid starvation, death and a mental breakdown was pretty interesting.

I was hoping for more from a movie that is supposed to be number one in the box office. It was suspenseful but at times a little slow and generally a little disappointing. Things go from bad to worse as suicidal Liam Neeson boards a plane that crashes in the barren arctic only to be chased by horrifyingly huge and menacing wolves. The characters in this disappointing film are flat and never engage the viewer's sympathy. Save your money.

The Grey was an awesome movie!!! Keeping you through suspense the whole time anxious to see whats gonna happen next. GO OUT AND WATCH THE MOVIE, IT'S WORTH YOUR TIME!!!! Although I do have to have to tell you "JUST" the ending really sucked...

This movie was a great example on human courage and determination. How many of us can actually survive and thrive if all that things we hold dear are snatched away from us? ...this It thought was a great motivational piece. Sad and tragic but so is life. Great movie, if you prefer the safety of your daily 'bubbled life' this is not the movie for you. But, if you dare, stick around for the after credits.... :-)

Definitely not for the weak of heart. It was so real I actually jumped and screamed a few times. Liam is amazing! I can see where some might hate it, pretty gory in spots. I thought it was very well done.
